Post Game thoughts posted here after the game.

I just want to remind people to not feed the trolls. Art will be in Seattle and Claws will be at the Mez, so we will have no moderators around to clean out the mess. The best strategy is to report a trolling post and NOT respond to it. I have asked other mods to watch for Houston reported posts. Hopefully they just stay away.

Also, please do not troll in their forum.

It takes brass b*lls to play like that. A few days of rest and the guys left it all on the field. A lot of calls went our way. Where are the conspiracy theorists?

    A few observations:

    1) We'd better get a bit better on set piece marking or we will pay for it on Sunday.

    2) Ianni went through (not up with) Oduro at least 3 times the first half and not called at all.

    3) We were a bit fortunate and so were they. I'd say that Hainault should have buried his and Montero should have put his away as well.

    4) Would have liked to have seen Ching come off just a bit sooner only because he was gassed.

    5) Chabala...great job getting up in support and attacking but once you get into the final third, CROSS IT INTO THE BOX !!! No more of the pulling the ball back.

All credit to the squad for playing the best match I've us play on turf in a long long time. My top three Dynamo players for the match:

    1) Holden
    2) Onstad (would have been 1 except for bonehead play with Montero)
    3) The crossbar

I don't think Landin is going to get renewed. I know he has tendonitis, but he looks like he is running insand compared to everyone else.

Ref sucked, luckily, he sucked on our favor :)

Screw being tired, screw the league having us playing today even tough we played in El Salvador, screw the way we were playing at the end, screw the fact this wasn´t a brilliant game, screw the carpet, I saw passion, no names, only men.

Still ticked about the non-call on Clark so Mullan decides to take it out on his man and promptly gets a yellow card. :D

    Frozen can of OJ
    blender
    make whipped oj
add 2-yr old Tito's vodka (Texas vodka, really stinks).

Having me an orange drink (great suggestion).

Thanks to the men in orange. Now it is OUR term to make Seattle feel unwelcome.

SUGGESTION: Could we bring really obnoxious noisemakers for the Robertson corners and pay them back???

Forget the negativity, 0-0 was a good result given the schedule congestion, some guys dinged up, and playing BEFORE THE GREATEST FANS IN THE RECORDED HISTORY OF SPORT!!!!!

Dynamo played well, decent possession, best chances were early in the game, got saved by the bar and Mullan on the line.

Cards may be an issue as always in the playoffs. Onstad could pick up a cheapie for timewasting and we probably need Mullan in the lineup.

10 days until the 2nd leg, get guys healthy.

    Good result.

The whistle was clear on the replay as was the ref walking toward the spot of the foul.

    18 fouls for houston
    6 for sounders

Whatever, we did what we had to do. We got taken to the woodshed in the air tonight. We need to grow a few inches before the next game.

Give me Weaver before Landin next time, thanks.

Our back line has been a big disappointment for the last couple of months, but at least we survived tonight.

I thought Rico showed a lot for being injured.

Our forwards didn't look great, but it's not like we gave them many chances.

Oduro made some nice plays and I think got screwed out of a chance to score on a bad call in the box.

Both sides had a lot of chances for a 0-0 game.

All said that was intense, I would enjoy seeing more games played at this level of intensity.

I was being facetious, I actually heard it during the run of play. When I saw everyone still going I thought what I heard was from the stands.

I thought Salazar did a very good job. He tried to not give out cards (Ching should have had one) until his hand was kind of forced. I thought Mullan's was weak however.

Watching Pat on the replays makes it all pretty clear. He knew there was a whistle.

    A few things:

Landin and Weaver werent ready to go more than 20'.

We have ZERO options for midfield subs off the bench. All we have is 2 banged up forwards and a bunch of senior citizen defenders.

I was pleasantly surprised tonight. I thought we played well and despite some lapses, it all worked out. I think the team will have learned its mistake from last year and come out and win this.

    I loves the Dynamo.

Drink already making me feel warm and fuzzy. Happy. Emotionally drained.

    I'll say goodnight here.

I agree, he wasnt great, but he wasnt great on the conservative side. He tried to say out of the game, for better or worse.

Still Weaver can do some good and he's faster than Landin.

No midfield options? What about Ashe? He can really inject some speed into this team.

We came away with a very good result but still there is negativity in your post.

I'll take the result, it seemed like we were playing for the win and not or the tie like I feared we would. I was fearng some bonehead mistake would cost us, a few of those back passes were a bit shaky.

    What about that crowd though?
NOT IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS HAS THERE BEEN SUCH A SPECTACLE!!!!!!THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND PEOPLE!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!

Me too, however, you can't play with that kind of intensity through out the whole season, our guys would run out of gas at midseason;)
