Yep, when I swapped from Umbro Specialis to F50s I've noticed three main things...

    1. My running has improved due to the TRX
    2. I can't curl my shots at all with the F50s (just need to get my technique right)
    3. My shots stay lower and harder.

I guess those are due to the shape and fit of the boots (and also the hidden lacing system).

Yeah I have, when I bought a pair of Nike Vapors I was just about to sign a contract. When they split and I bought a pair of Adidas 4 stripes I went to playing for the 4 team.

I think you just have to get used to the new design of the boots. Plus you have to break them in. Yeah, you prefer the touch on some boots to others.

I wear vapors pretty much all the time now. And im used to them. But i still have a bit of a mare whenever it comes to breaking in a new pair.

But whoever said skill cant change was right. Its always within you. I think people just believe that everything comes from the boots they wear. When at the end of the day, its your foot thats in the boot and thats where the magic comes from!! :)

Yeah. I think It's true that you have your skill and nothing can change that. Although I bought a new pair of astro's recently, Nike Air Zoom Control, and I did notice a slight improvement in my touch and speed of foot, i.e stepovers and tricks etc. were faster. :)

Yeah I suppose skills can't change except for your running due to different stud systems and the weight of boots. I guess my points were more general footballing points.

I experienced a boost of confidence when I switched from Copas to Predator Manias. I can't say for sure it was the shoes themselves, but the thought of having them, perhaps.

HOWEVER.. once I got some SuperFeet insoles for them a few months ago then I really DID notice an improvement in my game, most notably AFTER the game, where my heels weren't as sore and my feet didn't slide around inside the boot at all.

When I wrote it I basically meant just a small improvement of someone's skills. More quality perhaps.

Make that clearer then! (JOKE!) when i started wearing vapors i noticed i got a cleaner control of the ball especially around the lace area. Because there wasnt a tongue over the laces. But it did take me a while to put power into my shots. Because i was so used to having the extra smack of the tongue behind the ball. I just had to get used to wearing the vapors and now i love them.
