    I noticed Frank always calls them "Desportivo" or "Desp" for short. C'mon Frank we don't like to here things like "Sporting Lisbon" so let's call em Deportivo.

    Anywho Andrade is one of the best central defenders in the world and Baros is an ok striker so they're are no surprises with this announcement.

    for some reason he reminds of Barros a much better player with Porto and Juventus :mad:

    Damn right..Jorge Andrade is PRICELESS....this guy always gives 100 percent...strong, doesnt get bullied...fast as hell too. I love these black guys! :p

    Jorge Andrade is one of my favorite player from Portugal and i think he is one of the best defenders in the world!

    I don't know how a team such as Deportivo manages to keep one of the world's top central defender's away from all these big clubs :confused: Btw they're not considered a wealthy club :cool:

    has anyone tried to go after Andrade othet then Deportivo.....how much did they get him for...and from which team in portugal?

    50 dollars says Miguel ends up in Espana

    Andrade just scored an amazing goal against Newcastle. Dribbled the ball up from midfield all the way through to the top of the box and curled one around Given. BEAUTIFUL!

    he had a couple good games for Estoril, believe he scored a goal against Porto, total 7 goals for the season

    there is another Joao Paulo also played for Sporting one season and his playing for Leiria, but his a central defender

    Gimme a break Frank. You usually make some good points, but Andrade blows away Ricardo Rocha.

    Andrade is Portugal's best defender - better than Carvalho IMHO
    Andrade is worth probably 20 million euros, Ricardo Rocha is worth maybe 5-8 million euros.

    In my opinion this would have been a good deal for both teams... might still happen though.
