on RTP Play (mobile app) there is a very long documentary that covers the entire Euro from behind the scenes with interviews from every player and Santos. It is a must watch!
That is NOT the official kit. For one that is a Nike "Stadium" jersey (fan replica) not the "Vapor Match" jersey (player issue) The player issue kits were sold out from L and down last September (you might still but it in XL or XXL The second thing is the winners patch (which is not the official one from UEFA BTW) was not on the jersey until after we won the Euro. So you either have the Gold Game Info alone or the Winners patch not both Really its a 60 euro jersey with maybe 10 euros worth of knock off patches on the generous side and a 2 euro collectors box to put it in. Anyone that buys this is giving away 70 euros for nothing.
Your right, if it was the vapor shirt it would be worth it, just want that winners badge, maybe they will get round it at some stage.
One question: what's exactly going on with Renato Sanches? One of the most promising youngsters in Europe but with disastrous form since 2016. Is it the Euro Cup silverware that has gone into his head or is it something different, e.g. the clubs Bayern + Swansea. What's your more insight view? I'm curious.
He's been mismanaged by those around him. Rui Jorge, the U-21 coach, stated this past summer after calling Renato to the U-21 Euro that this was his 'rightful level'. A player who was starting in the senior European Championship the summer prior was now being told that the level below that was his 'rightful level'. The logic does not compute. Carlo Ancelotti also stated this past summer, after Renato had that great game against Chelsea in a friendly, when talks selling and loaning him were rampant, that he didn't understand why Renato would not show that form consistently. Carlo, for all his knowledge of football, seems to not have the same understanding of how people operate. Renato was simply showcasing his talent against Chelsea to show those around him what he can do, but he's too young to understand this. Unfortunately for him, those with 'experience' that are supposed to mentor him appropriately, do not seem to understand this either.
Imo should have never left benfica at that young age. He was at club who historically since the 50s was always top in Europe in nurturing talents of African descent (as same with sporting). Then left to strange country unappreciative and unwelcoming of Afro-Portuguese culture. Portuguese football was always the best and most welcoming in Europe to integrate African descent players. I'm sure if balotelli was born or emigrated to Portugal he would have been a top striker . But he unfortunately grew up in a hostile environment. It will take him time to rebound and gain confidence and will need the right club to do so. Unfortunately neither of those are Bayern or Swansea.
All our players join leagues that don't suit them for some odd reason. Renato should be in Spain, Italy or France, Same with Bernardo Silva. Andre Gomes should be in England or Germany the list goes on and on.
You may be right. I always thought that Paulo Sousa only did well because he went to Germany and Italy instead of Spain or England. Tiago Mendes was even a better example, sucked in England and Italy, but excelled in France and Spain.
