Hey I'm back from what had to be the 2nd most thrilling metros win ever this year #1 is Gaven's goal on o/t in DC Let me tell you The New Polish Dude is pretty good had a few touches which were right on the money, I say few more games under his belt and we will have a nice EuroStriker PEPE*
yeah ok. yeah ok.. that polish striker looks like he's washed up and out of shape! what is he like 45 or 35? no one else wanted him in europe, not even the african league.. just come right on down to the mls home of the washed up, past there prime stars that once were promising.. i never heard of this guy
THINK A LITTLE BIT! I BET U CANT EVEN NAME AN ARGENTINE FOOTBALLER ! MAYBE DIEGO MARADONA OR MARIO KEMPES,, BERTONI,TARANTINI,LUQUE,ARDILLES,FILLOL, GALVAN,GALLEGO, U REMEMER THESE NAMES??? 1978 WORLD CUP ARGENTINA Y POLAND..
CAN U SAY "HATER" COME NOW! THIS WAS 1986! LONG TIME AGO! GET OVER IT... THIS STUFF HAPPENS MAN...HE WAS WISIEST OF THEM ALL! THESE GUYS COME ALONG EVERY 100 YEARS U KNOW THAT.. MAYBE NEXT TIME IT WILL BE A POLISH PLAYER...
I was at the Post Match party and talked to Robert Warzyca <--- Spelling Former Crew player and Current Assitant coach. I asked him about Juskowiak. He told me he will fit in nicely and he will help out Metro, once he gets the rust out, he will be fine. Polish Power. I know that's the old Wrestler Ivan Putski's old nickname, but I think it can work here.
I remember Jusko from the SPORTING CP days, it was around '95-'96. If he could get back into similiar form then he would be a force with Mathis up top and Guevara trailing. Never was a prolific scorer but very good with his back to the goal, solid passer, and good vision in the attacking third. Hopefully he can regain some of that past form. VIVA METRO!!
and the metros need someone with vision, to make things more interesting and not so predictable, i think he is a good pick-up for us, besides it can't hurt with just a few games left who else could you get but get what you can.
Re: THINK A LITTLE BIT! since you're such a history buff, don't you remember WORLD CUP 1974 and ARG v POL? the result was quite different!!! i'm sure you can look up all the players yourself
Weird, I talked to a few Polish guys from Chicago who kind of wish he was on our bench. Reportedly he doesn't score a lot, but his goals are game winners in a clutch. Bob does well with the Eastern Europeans, even if only a season or two. And then there was "washed up in the Bundesliga" Nowak who could probably still get it done today in the midfield. Trust the Bob.
Here's my Jusko chant (this will only work when he starts scoring): Just like that "Ice Cream/ You scream" rhyme: Yoo-sko! He Scores! He Scores for Metro! and/or... Yoo-sko! He Scores! Jusko's a Metro!
