A friend, teucer, and I started a soccer statistics podcast, Juggle the Numbers, last summer which is focused on the American domestic leagues (MLS, NASL, USL, and WPS). We've decided to do an ongoing feature this year where we interview a fan from each team shortly before an important game for that team. We would prefer that the important game be a big rivalry game for that team, but it can also be a game which is important for other reasons. There will likely be some talk of statistics, but we try to keep the deeply technical stuff out. So what do we want from you, so early in the offseason? 1. We are looking for people to interview. We'd prefer that the people we interview be amateur bloggers/podcasters or significantly involved with a supporters group. However, any people able to provide some insight and analysis which would be hard for us to provide through our statistics would be great. Suggestions for other places to post, or other people to contact are welcome. 2. We'd like to get your ideas on what you feel the Whitecaps' biggest games for this upcoming season will be (beyond Seattle and Portland). Note that we already have a plan for the opening week of the season. Our current thought is to do the Whitecaps for their first Cascadia Cup game, or another game if those don't start until later. Teucer is a Carolina Railhawks (and thus Martin Rennie) fan, so he wants to talk about that early on in the season. 3. We'd like the this information as soon as possible, so that we can start working with people on what dates work, and plan out the interviews so that they span the season. Feel free to PM either of us if you don't want to post information publicly.
