Did anybody else spot the boots of Jose Juan Vazquez of Mexico? They looked like bowling shoes but in Mexico colours, but it's refreshing to see some boots other than Adidas/Nike/Puma
Mauricio Pinilla of Chile also had a strange red/greem camo version of the new Umbro GeoFLARE against Australia, but I can only find this training picture.
Gallito Vazquez. Him and Carlos "Gullit" Peña #21 are sponsored by Concord. I always wondered if the player issued models are any different from the retail version. They aren't very expensive. They retail anywhere from $60 to $80. I agree with you. Its nice to see something different. I don't think i've seen a single black boot. Besides the refs.
An Italian defender had the white/black tiempos on didn't he? Might not have been Italian but someone defiantly has
In the women's news...the USWNT players are all decked out in the new range of Nikes against France: Ali Kreiger switches up to the Magista Tobin in the Hypervenom Solo in the Tiempos Morgan in the Hypervenom Allie Long in Hypervenom (and France player in Mercurial) Carli Lloyd in Mercurial, as usual (and France player in Magista) Leroux in Mercurial
Looking at it I think you might be right about the studs. I did think the same thing about the collar when I saw the pictures. It looks pushed down here, but we all know Nike could disguise a Vapor to look like a SF. Like I said will be interesting to see what he wears in the game. I know he will wear whats best for him but it's a bit poor of Nike if their poster boy doesn't even want to wear the top end model. appleCORR
I wouldn't care so much them selling a boot that the pros don't wear as such, just dont try and sell it to us for a ridiculous price and justify it by saying its 'designed by ronaldo' or such and such. even if they sold those boots for half their current price they'd still make a 100% profit. not just nike and the SF atm either, we all know Van persie and messi use different boots to the norm besides custom lasts.
It was the ones from training; sort of a running-sock like Dynamic Fit Collar rather than an ankle-sock one:
You might find some on Getty. Looks like we were right and he is wearing some serious customised boots! Bet he isn't getting blisters! appleCORR
Maybe its just me but I have a pet peeve with boots that aren't matching. It looks like you left the house with one of your wife's shoes.
I do not think the white bit is part of the boot, rather, its a Nike sock or something that he wore below the National Team socks (which is cut off, obviously in the photo).
