I know that someone has posted about this in the past... How many out there have received a phone call from one of the Spirit players? I got a call yesterday, right after I arrived home from work - it was Julie Foudy! It was in thanks for being a season ticket holder, and of course asking that I continue to support the team.
A couple of months ago I had a message on my machine from Jen Mascaro. I can't remember how she got my name and number because I've been able to attend only one game. I think maybe I signed up for a newsletter on the website.
Had a message left yesterday by Carly Smolak! Charter Member of the Spectres Mac Mafia enforcer -- the evil one! I want my MAC AVATAR back!!! Please keep Clive Charles and his family in your thoughts and prayers. "Whenever I have to choose between two evils, I always like to try the one I haven't tried before." - Mae WestTherefore, I shall go by the name Smactish. Think anyone will know it's me?
I got a call from Jen Mascaro a while back, encouraging me to come to another game. I had signed up for god knows what at the one game I made it to and they must have given her my number from that. I was at work and got the surprize of my life when it was her! I told her I live in NY and was visiting when I went to that game, but that I was a Power season ticket holder and made it to as many Freedom games as I could and the occasional Charge game. I would definitely go to another Spirit game if I was out there and that I'm a big fan of the league. She thanked me for my support and I thanked her for making my day! I realized after I hung up that I forgot to ask how her injury was coming along, but I got to make up for that when they came to NY. She came over to the wall for autographs and I told her I had gotten a call from her and she remembered me! I told her I realized I forgot to ask how her injury was coming along, she thanked me and said pretty good. The Spirit have the right idea with this. It takes just a moment, but makes and impression that will last a long, LONG time. Norma
