I figured I'd get a game thread going. Anyone have any insights or opinion about the starting lineup and formations? From what I've read, Weber will start in goal. Mackie and King should start up top. Other than that, I'm just guessing.
Hedrick has to be a lock in the back. I figure Toia will be filling LB. Faria will likely be CAM Schmitt will be somewhere in the midfield, CDM or on the wing.
Projected starting lineup from their game notes: Goalkeeper Andrew Weber Defender Renan Boufleur Defender Cyprian Hedrick Defender Scott Morrison Midfielder Netinho Midfielder Diego Faria Midfielder Anthony Obodai Forward Donny Toia Forward Peabo Doue Forward Aaron King Forward Darren Mackie I would be surprised if they were actually playing 3-3-4. And Facebook scuttlebutt is that Mackie is hurt. So take this for what it's worth. Are you guys still going over?
If I had thought to use my watch's stopwatch, you'd know what time in the match it is, too. I'll try to remember that second half. Yeah, the LA announcer sucks as always. Blues have two Orlando City rejects: George Davis IV, and Rodrigo Lopez.
No, I just meant it kept buffering. I only saw about 12 seconds at a time. The kid announcer is a kid. He means well.
He means well, sure, but it's the same kid the past three years. You'd think somebody would get to him with some pointers.
Bowen with the first yellow of the season for Seattle. I'm double-fisting this match and the tape-delayedhot-rod Gatornationals.
He's about 76th on the Blues' list of issues. Report from my operative at the game (re: Phoenix): "Nobody should be paying to watch these guys play." Probably a little harsh given they've been together a month or whatever it is. Orlando lost their first match ever, as well.
Aaaand Bowen with a straight red. Studs up. Both players might've been going into each other that way, but Bowen gets thrown out. Tell him to suck it up. EDIT: Twitter says red went to Obodai, not Bowen. Announcer said Bowen.
It's working for me on the iPad. What are you using? Try using a different browser. It's stuck on Firefox for me, but I was able to open it on Chrome. It may be a site cookie issue, I dunno.
