Earnie was one of my favorite players growing up, I was thrilled about him taking over the Union, but this statement below is complete 100% BS. Sounds exactly like something the previous guy would have said (although he would have thrown in a reference to the "brand"). We've been here 8 years. We know what the identity is. A team of young players "overlooked" by other teams, augmented by a sprinkling of veteran international players who had no value in the transfer market. It's a team that rarely is able to close out a game, let alone a season. It's a team that promises a youth movement, but will let them rot on the bench while older players who obviously have no future with the team eat up minutes. Doesn't happen overnight? Chicago was the worst team the last 2 years... where are they now?
Another part of our 8-year-old identity is a complete lack of offensive strategy other than counterattacks. 3 coaches so far who had no idea how to implement an offensive scheme.
