Peter, is there anyway to get updates and maybe even pictures/videos from Florida, especially Wednesday's match between Red Stars and Breakers? I'll try to be in Schaumburg next Saturday. Thanks.
I'll provide updates on Twitter. If you don't already follow me, follow "RedStarsCEO". I'll see if I can add some pictures, too during the game.
Is it not great to have the best CEO working for your club. Mr. Wilt- any idea when we can find a roster with numbers posted? (If it is posted sorry, I have not seen it.) My girls want jersey's with their fav player. Thanks and keep up the great work. Maybe we will see you in STL.
Thx. Accessible doesn't = great, but we're working hard on making the Red Stars successful and hard work does matter. here's what i have - Big caveat: SUBJECT TO CHANGE!! 1 Carre Jonsson 2 Marian Dalmy 3 Ella Masar 4 Ifeoma Dieke 5 Lindsay Tarpley 6 Brittany Klein 7 Heather Garriock 8 Megan Rapinoe 9 Danesha Adams 10 Carli Lloyd 11 Cristiane 12 Chioma Igwe 13 Natalie Spilger 14 Karen Carney 15 Lauren Sesselmann 16 Sarah Wagenfuhr 18 Frida Ostberg 19 Kat Tarr 23 Nikki Krzysik 25 Lydia Williams Lauren Church Tina Estrada Kristen Eggert Michelle Wenino Bonnie Young
Peter, Are they trying Ella Masar as an outside back? Just from the numbers, I thought she would have a more striker-like number.
Today, Ella will start up front with Lindsay Tarpley. here's the starting lineup for this afternoon's game vs. Boston: Jonsson in goal Dalmy, Igwe, Kryszik & Garriock in back; Rapinoe, Ostberg, Lloyd & Carney across mid; Masar & Tarpley up top Also, new blog post here: http://chicagoprowomenssoccer.blogspot.com/2009/03/overload.html i'll be providing in game updates as i get them via Twitter. So what's the status on the international players? Who's in and who still out? I'm guessing the dreaded visa issue is a problem. Especially with Cristiane. Dont' really understand our visa process with them is so difficult and in turn their's for travel there.
I don't understand all employment related visa stuff but I think the problems is being able to legally employ folks. My office has had visa troubles to bring in a scholar last year for a month long seminar. We weren't paying them a dime -- just trying to get them to campus (not as a student). It would have been an even bigger headache/problem had we wanted to pay the person.
All the internationals (and US) players were with the team in Florida and return to Chicago today except for Cristiane who received her travel clearance earlier this week. She was scheduled to leave Brazil today and arrive tomorow in time for the IYSA Expo, but she and her mother were in an auto accident yesterday( everyone's ok!) Which delayed her departure a day. She is now scheduled to arrive at Midway Sunday morning.
