Bremen have come out and said if no deal for Ozil is agreed by tomorrow night, they'll play him in the CL qualifiers.

Also, Sky Sports News reporting Neymar to have said he'd rather stay in Brazil than sit on our bench.

Sorry i gotta say it. Let him stay in Brasil. There is no way that twig would survive a full EPL season. He was barely touched in the USA-vs-Brasil friendly and he was off on the sideline getting his feet rubbed.

No way in hell he'd be able to make a positive impact with an already excellent squad in chelsea.

why couldn't we sign him up, and let him stay for a season to get him some more experience?

he's too late for getting homegrown status anyway right?

We would have to sign him this window for him to be considered homegrown I think. Past that it would be too late.

The poor kid is getting a ridiculous amount of pressure to stay away from evil Chelsea:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

including his Natl coach now so that may drive the deal south

lol that's so ridiculous! And who is robinho to be giving advice? I guess he would be an example of how not to f*&k yourself. It's as if 1 of the 10 commandments is not to be seduced by Chelsea FC! lol

i think robinho is perfect example of why its not such a bad idea for him to stay, look what happened to him when he went to Madrid

although i still think if he will com,e here hell easily break into the first team, the only fear is his durability

Robinho should have nothing to do with Chelsea. He was a player Scolari wanted and now he is gone. The dreams of Robinho coming to Chelsea should have been gone the moment we sacked big Phil. From the time Chelsea showed interest in Robinho I have paid a little closer attention to him and his persona. No Thanks!!!

The guy is a great talent but is he the only talent out there? Is he Chelsea's Saviour? Do we need him? or a player like him?

I don't want Robinho to be anywhere close to this club. Cancer is right...the moment he snubbed us for Citeh and then left them high and dry (though it makes me lol) was the day that possible transfer died in my eyes.

Let's look at professional baller to come over, not some prima donna wanna be crybaby...no thanks.

I'm going to have to disagree. Robinho didn't spurn us - he clearly wanted to come and Felipao wanted him. Real Madrid didn't want to sell him to us. And Citeh was the wrong place for him, but he is hardly the first foreigner to be less than thrilled about living in the north of England. Desailly once complained about February games in the north of England too - he was a good purchase. In the right place, I'm sure Robinho can prosper, as he has at Santos and at Real (where he was excellent) and as he does for Brazil - he and Maicon were their two best players at the World Cup. At a cut rate price (which is all that Citeh are going to get for him), I'd take him in a heartbeat and stick him on the right in place of Kalou/Anelka. Done. We have a large Brazilian/Portuguese contingent at the Bridge, which seems to be growing, so he's probably going to fit in better too. At this stage in his career, Robinho is a fairly low risk high reward proposition.

Agreed but what's a fair price do you think? I mean 15mil isn't exactly low risk.

Well, frankly, that is not a risk I would be willing to take...but that is just me. Robinho is not the only player out there that can satisfy what we need up front or on the wings.

Where is the risk exactly? He showed he can be great in the English league, he has been a top performer for Brazil for some time now and he was awesome at Madrid.

If Roman was willing to dish out 17 million pounds for a backup leftback I wouldn't have too many issues with the same sort of money being put out for Robinho.

Pete - Don't really know how that's relevant. This club wouldn't be a fraction of what it is today without the cash injection.

You didn't understand his post. "Translated" it reads:

Iverson is to practice as Roman is to 15mil.

Alluding to Iverson's now famous rant (I remember watching it live when I lived in Philly, so funny) about how he was the MVP and didn't need practice. Pete's point was 15mil means nothing to Roman.

nice is right, he only went to city as a last resort to get away from Madrid

right, and if were gonna pay 20-25 mill for Neymar then why not for a much more experienced version in Robinho who's also PROVEN in the prem

And we still here, talking about practice!!

if you pay close attention to the article, Robinho is not against Neymar going to CHELSEA, Robinho is against Neymar going to the english Premiership.

    Love the title:)

For me, i'd love to get Neymar, it's been ages since our fiscally responsible little club did something crazy like this with a young hyped player, worst case is we take a hit in the pocketbook on a rubber legged crybaby, best case is he becomes a world class player.

    I'd also/either take Robinho. wut.
