Anyone else here support PDL teams in the Northeast?

The Ottawa Fury (my team) had a tough loss last night in Ocean City (2-1), but if they can win both games this weekend (at home) they will be right back in the race.

However, the Fury have been fortunate because a few teams coming to Ottawa didn't have that many subs. Apparently, a few of the players on Brooklyn couldn't cross the border. The same thing happened to Westchester.

I used to be the director of operations for Westchester. So, yes, I support teams in the NE. And yes, it doesn't surprise me at all to hear that players weren't able to cross the border.

Think about it ... no legal papers maybe?

Westchester had a few players who couldn't cross the border and Brooklyn only came with 11 players.

One player for Brooklyn said, "this is what we get when we sign illegals."

It's not about illegals. It's people working towards getting their green cards. Also certain types of visas automatically expire upon leaving the country.

Ottawa lost to Reading 2-1 on Saturday in a must win game.

Sunday saw a better performance and a 2-1 victory over Ocean City. It was an entertaining match to watch. Too bad more people didn't show up.

Ottawa is still in the playoff race, but just barely.

Ocean City and Cape Cod qualify for the playoffs out of the NE division.

Ottawa beat Rhode Island 2-1 tonight in a well played match. If they beat Cape Cod tomorrow, Ottawa will finish with 10 wins on the season.
