Annoyingly the POR-MIN wouldn't load on ESPN+ on my PS4. Had to go back to the Xfinity X1 box and load it through its ESPN+ app. Kept telling me there was no internet connection even though I could load other ESPN+ broadcasts. tl;dr: ESPN+ tech failure means I missed a goal.

ISTM that goalkeeping league wide has been.extraordinary so far this season. Maybe it's just my imagination but wow. There are of course a couple exceptions, Cincy paying Vermeer a million bucks to stink up the place while a cast-off like Tarbell has kept Austin in the hunt almost single handedly.
Apparently the extended stoppage/discussion last night midway through the second half in Portland was because Diego Chará had accused an opponent of using a racial slur. Clearly none of the referees heard it. I don't doubt that it happened, though, and hopefully the league is able to conduct a productive investigation. The hypocrisy from the Timbers organization after the way they handled the opposite situation a few years ago is fully expected, albeit disappointing.
