MLS Net says that Houston has signed Paul Dalglish, son of Kenny, from Hibernian and released Ronald Cerritos (sob). Dalglish talked about how he was supposed to sign with DC United some years ago but it fell through. I seem to remember a will he? won't he? scenario in the past when he was touted as being just what we needed to make it back to the top. Wasn't that during Hudson/s tenure? Help me out here, please.
A little known story behind the Dalglish situation: Ray Hudson was actively looking to drop Ryan Nelsen in order to sign Paul.
Well, I say thousands of El Salvadorans should go to the Houston games and boo them, and assault some of their fans I hope this Hudson find doesn't turn out like the Christian Gomez one....
Careful, this one might assault you at the next game... after properly booing your lame ass of course.
And more importantly, brother of the lovely Kelly, who, at this point, career-wise, is more relevant than either of them.
Of course, knowing how Hudson was so nostalgic for those old, over-the-hill Brits he might have been trying to sign Kenny, not Paul.
At this point it should be pointed out that Sachin will by anyone a beer who finds a link between any MLS team and Gazza.
Hell no. That be the luvvvvly Helen Chamberlain from Soccer AM over here. THIS is Kelly: (there's a pic of her in an evening dress which isn't all that flattering out there)
This seems pretty unlikely. Any source on that? DC had an SI spot open at the time and Nelsen's salary was negligible at that time as well, so dropping him would hardly be helpful in getting Dalglish.
