I always saw those signs but I always been hesitant to park outside of the Union's "jurisdiction" being how Chester is? Have you guys ever had any problems parking in these third party lots?
It's super scary. Be careful. Easy in. Easy out. I've never sat in traffic. And you get to feel good about your money going right into local pockets. Church or otherwise. Sure, Chester has its social issues. But you're not exactly walking alone for twenty blocks along an unlit street of murder and rape.
The parking attendants are really nice and funny and we have armed guards watching the lot. I never felt unsafe there.
Teber was ok last year.Don't know what to do about upcoming season. The church lot is an option, get some exercise dodging cars crossing the street. This is slightly O/T, but did anyone take a survey sent to them from the front office a little while ago?One subject was parking. I wrote "For $20, the company could at the very least pave the bloody lot!". FYI to anyone parking at the baseball stadium for SOB night at the Phantoms game Friday, parking is $25. Usually it's $15.Greedy bastards, the whole lot of them.
I've always parked at the Sunoco or grass lot to the West of it. Never a problem and I get back on 95 within 5-10 minutes no matter the crowd. I basically see it as being paid $10 to walk the extra 150 yards or so to the Teber lot. Because I'm a cheap bastard and easily amused, this thrills me.
Do what I do- park on the street in South Philly and take the 10 minutes, 1.50 BSL ride down to the stadium.
Just got the email about parking for next year... how much do the passes go for? Pretty sure I'll be opting in for this SOB plan...
something like $235; cheaper than Teber was asking ($250). Only disadvantage is that it will be more diffcult to leave from than from Teber... Talked to my Rep today and he said he would sign me up even though I had nothing booked yet.
I bought my parking pass on friday 1/20, and could only choose between a & c....contacted the rep today and asked about being switched to the sob section. No dice. They did say that my parking account would be changed to reflect the sob option, and if there were any openings, I could be switched in the future.I guess I can just walk to the tailgates if need be ha
I am already in and paid for B lot, so all I have to do is call my ticket rep and tell him I want my status to change to SOB? By the way, where is this tailgating spot exactly? Is it in an existing building?
No. The new home is located on Law Street, between PPL Park and Second Street (from yesterday's email). Law Str is the street running parallel and next to the bridge (south side). Teber should drop down to less than $200 since there are also goodies involved if one signs up with the new plan.
Lot B seems like a nightmare to get out of anyway.... I just signed up for my SOB pass and requested lot A. $235 total.
I guess someone knows what is inside of that building, the square footage etc. Do we need someone to design the interior?
cant wait for people to complain about SOBs getting special treatment when they let our "roped off" parking area out first after games
My brother is an architect who is in between jobs at the moment. Let me know if you need someone to design something.
NOOO!!!!! You guys bought my bar! My friend and I have talked about buying that building and opening a soccer bar there since the stadium first opened. Ah well. At least it's going to a good cause. And before you ask, lack of funds and follow-through. Oh, and no business plan to speak of.
