Sorry, I thought it was someone who is less frequent on this particular forum. I think MBokani has really disrupted the flow that was promising albeit far from perfect while he was serving his suspension. The problem with Park out wide is not only is he not at a place where he can help the most, but also now defenses can focus on stopping the buildup since there is no true left winger. I still think Bolton is far worse to watch.
Mbokani off. What a terrible player. Selfish and stupid. Maybe now PJY can be the striker lol goal for Lorient. Park caught on the Lorient attack. Again, a problem with playing a striker on the wings. Lorient consistently attacked Monaco's left side since Park can't defend and get rewarded for it.
How can you say Bolton are worse to watch? I was going to break something if I saw a Monaco player try to dribble through the entire Lorient defense one more time. Route 1 > pseudo-Ronaldos being constantly dispossessed.
agreed. Bolton have actually become better this year. At least they don't long ball all day or aren't made of selfish players with no abilities whatsoever. I really hope this Mbokani-Niculae experiment stops. IT NEEDS TO STOP. PLEASE COME BACK ALONSO!!! I'm favoring the 4-5-1 onetop PJY over playing any of those two. BTW, Mbokani recently said in an interview that he chose Monaco over Liverpool What a quality player.
Over the course of the season, I've found Monaco more enjoyable to watch esp when MBokani was out by suspension or gets subbed out. This match was painful as all heck but they were also down to 10 men. The trend is unfortunately downwards however. Lacombe needs to just acknowledge his error and figure out how to field a less horrendous lineup. The worst was close to the end there with MBokani trying to bull up the left with a wide open PCY waiting to either rush up for the through pass... then wait for the backpass... then giving up as MBokani gave up the ball over the line.
Professor Park starts in the second striker role. He is linking up well with Niculae fro the few minutes that I've watched. Mbokani is terrible as usual
Couldn't agree more. Almost every player, esp Aubameyang and Mbokani take way too many touches and don't pass. I'm wishing for a little more chemistry between Park and Niculae... Glad to see than Alonso is back on the bench. I'm hoping Alonso can come back soon since Alonso used to accomodate Park well. Aubameyang and Mbokani out, Alonso and someone else in
Wow, this is unbearable. Monaco peaked w/ Arsene Wenger, Evra, Henry, etc... This squad under Guy Lacombe simply can't score, let alone pass. Selling Nene was stupid. You guys are right, Park needs to leave...
He will not score as a winger I can tell you that. I'm not sure how long it will take for Lacombe to realize that Aubameyang and Mbokani do more harm than good but when he does, I hope to see Park up top again. Definitely reincorporate Alonso back into the starting line up and start Malonga on the left, pushing Park back up. Don't start players like Mendy......
WHen does PCY go to meet up with the NT? With MBokani out, it would be nice to have a whole game up top.
NVM... didn't realize it was friendly week across the board. Hopefully he's used sparingly so he can be fresh for a week from Saturday.
Uck, he was used a lot AND Niculae is hurt. Not the way to show off his remaining value as a striker.
Most likely it seems. http://www.planete-asm.fr/actualite/6358-daniel-niculae-probablement-forfait-a-caen.html EDIT: And for those of us who don't have crappy french skills like me, Niculae got hurt an hour into the Romanian match against France with a sprained right ankle. I lost a link earlier today where Le Moustache had said something to similar effect.
thanks. it seems like Niculae is out and Mbokani is out with suspension. Obviously, PJY will start up top. Hope he scores. Many of the commenters seem to be happy that Park will be moved up top again.
It's just sad that it took an injury and suspension for Park to regain his proper position. He didn't do anything to lose it in the first place.
