from FM as per DMN request (keep in mind that the database is from this time last year)

QPR have a 'keeper called Reece Crowther. No birth location but DoB is 28.11.1988

    Relevant?

Hows about Andrew Giallombardo from S'hampton and Josh Lambo at Everton?

Apologies if I am waaay behind and if this is irrelevant. New FM on 17th of Nov and will be sure to have a scour about for some fresh YA's

    KUTGW everyone

    IFCP,

Thanks for the post (and for the PM). Looking forward to seeing who/what the new FM turns up.

As for these guys you mentioned, we know about them all, but:

    • Giallombardo is no longer at Southhampton and currently MIA
    • Lambo signed with MLS (Dallas)

Crowther is definitely a Yank through birth. QPR fan Atouk keeps tabs on them for us.

    Thanks again...

What about Romone Rose from QPR? I belive FM has him born in Reading,PA, but the flag next to his name is the England flag. I know its been discussed but I thought I should add this.

I think it was confirmed Romone is not American. He was born in in Reading, Eng.

one of our Norwegian posters would likely know better but my understanding is Brian West has retired due to his constant injuries

The Hearts page on Wikipedia shows his name next to a Canadian flag, but that may be a mistake, as he is referred to as an American player in several reports from when Hearts signed him. That may just be because he was playing on a youth club in California. Transfermarkt.de also lists his nationality as Canadian, but maybe foreign sources only know Vancouver, CA, and are assuming that is where he is from as soon as they read Vancouver?

haha. my friend's brother is on that list. colin vint on Henstedt-Rhen. not too updated since he's now in law school in DC. either way, pretty impressed with the level of research the guys at FM do to hunt down the lesser known teams.

Heh. Played against this guy in WISL this fall. Gaithersburg, Md., is pretty far from my apartment, but definitely not abroad.

I'm also impressed with the FM research. I used to correspond with one of their researchers, who was a lot of help.

Hey, if you're out there and you're an FM researcher, drop me a line.

didn't see Jun Marques Davidson. he's under contract with Albirex Niigata still. He spent most of 2007 on loan at Vissel Kobe and spent 2008 on loan at Consadole Sapporo. Haven't seen anything about whether he is staying at Albirex but he doesn't seem to be in their plans

Time to add Hunter Freeman (joined IK Start, Norwegian Tippeliaga - top tier) as of January 1st this year and will play with no. 2 on his shirt.

    http://ikstart.no/ArticleLMWideImg.aspx?m=384&amid=485287

Vidar Vikstøl plays for the IK Start reserves and is, I believe, 17/18 yo. His older borther Rolf Daniel was recently called up to the senior squad. Both are local boys from Kristiansand, but I suppose it is possible that Vidar was born in the US (would be a similar case to Brede Hangeland who was born in Houston while his parents were working there).

As to the question about Brian West: he did retire due to injury, but last I saw in the media was going to stay in Norway for the time being.

Michael Mason is still alive and joins Hessen Kassel in the fourth division, although he was mainly signed for their reserve side. Previously he has played in Germany's 7th division.

Posted this at first in the silly season thread, but then moved it to this place.
