Rapids play today! Verse Vancouver, 8PM @ The Dick. We will tie 2-2. TV on Altitude I think, but haven't checked.
1-1 draw, goal by Badji. These two defenses are pretty much identical while Colorado has the home advantage and Tim Howard and Vancouver has a better offense. Those cancel out leading to 1 point and putting Rapids fans ever closer to the end of this long season. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2017/08/river-versus-ocean-in-high-plains.html
It's dire when we are already looking forward to 2022. (That's the soonest August 6 falls on a Saturday).
PRO's assignments: REF: NIMA SAGHAFI AR1: Matthew Nelson AR2: Peter Balciunas 4TH: Armando Villarreal VAR: Fotis Bazakos Or the all-anagram PRO assignment list: REF: FAMISH AGAIN AR1: Town Laments, Eh? AR2: Inescapable Rut 4TH: Real Vanilla Ramrod VAR: Bazooka Fists
My first reaction to this match was "Oh, I thought they had another week off." My second reaction: "Do I really want to watch this?" My third reaction: "At least Vancouver can be fun to watch." Yeah, it's down to that. I really don't care if the Rapids win or lose or draw. It's only another one of the endless, meaningless 2018 preseason friendlies. I can't stand the video replay rule. None of my friends wanted to pay money to watch the Rockies take extended batting practice against the Phillies. So it's down to "at least Vancouver has some players who are fun to watch." Meh.
I'm actually interested to see my first VAR game (since the World Club Cup at least), and my first one live. Agree I don't care about result, but i want goals.
Up in the mountains again this week, so won't see the game in person. Question, though. Is Ford really not good enough to crack our starting lineup? Da Fonte does always makes me worried. Rod.
Really close! Hairston almost scored. Instead Whitecaps 1-0 on Tchani shot off a partially cleared cross that no Rapid bothered to track down.
Balboa said Kendall Waston is not here for some reason related to getting a green card. Confusing. Did he mean landed immigrant status up in Canada? It can't be that US visas qualify players to play for Canadian teams, right?
