We are on the road against the last place team in the West, SKC - but before we get too cocky, the last two times this season we've played the last place team in the West, we've lost... No Puig yet and Raveloson is already gone. Luckily we have the hottest striker in the league, IF Vanney will play him... We are now in 9th place and probably need at least 18 points out of our remaining 12 games to leapfrog into that 7th and final playoff spot, so we gotta win a road game or two and this would be a good place to start... Let's Go Galaxy!
My preferred starting lineup ---------DeJan--Chicha---Costa -------------Delgado--Efrain -------------------Brugman Edwards--Williams--Sega--Araujo How I expect Vanney to start,... ---------------Cabral-----Chicha Delgado---Brugman---Efrain---Costa Gaston----Williams----DePuy---Araujo Subs Edwards for Gaston Grandsir for Costa DeJan for Cabral Aguirre for Brugman Vasquez for Chicha
We always have a hard time in KC, but if we're going to get points there, this is probably the best opportunity.
I know there is never a sure thing with this team. Not after Sacramento. But we need to start winning against bottom feeders. At least let the team improve to that level. Can we do that this year? Forget the playoffs. Can we beat horrible teams? KFC is dead last in the entire league. Wooden spoon candidates. Can we please, with sugar on it, just beat them?
Indeed, SKC have only won 3 times at home and drawn twice; they've lost the majority of their home games (6 total). Minimally we should draw. We have a couple games in hand over the people above us, so we really need to make those count.
For those who want to see the Galaxy play more of its youth, it looks like Saldana and Perez are on the plane to SKC. That may partially be due to Raveloson departing, Puig not being eligible yet, and whatever kept Aguirre out v. Chivas, but they both certainly helped their causes in that game LA 🛫 KC pic.twitter.com/bUBidwtDH6— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) August 5, 2022
Seems that fan's good feelings carry over to the next game from the last game, but the team usually always disappoints. Hope the team won't disappoint today.
Atlanta did us a solid today (check out the highlights for the last goal of the game) so now let's see if we can capitalize on that and get back to winning...
seems like Seattle peaked during the CCL and are suffering the same fate as the Galaxy, lethargic underachievers. they're fanbase must be just as upset as the Galaxy fanbase is with their team, the only difference that I know of is they don't have an incompetent FO running the show
Seattle got hit bad with injuries, so I think their struggles are a little different from our struggles, on and off the pitch. That said, I'm gonna relish all their struggles...
Don't know if this is legit, but it seems plausible. Your #LAGalaxy XI to face SKC! 4-4-2! pic.twitter.com/EmFCAzz5rP— lagalaxyclips (@lagalaxy_clips) August 6, 2022 Confirmed with subs listed. Wonder if Araujo to America rumors have some truth to them #LAGalaxy starting XIBond, Leerdam, Coulilbaly, Williams, Gasper, Costa, Brugman, Delgado, Cabral, Chicharito, Joveljicsubs: Efra, Zavaleta, Grandsir, Edwards, Perez, Araujo, Saldana, Kljestan, Klinsmann— Damian Calhoun (@DamianCalhoun) August 6, 2022
The fans are currently griping about the possibility their GM Garth Lagerway is interviewing for (or at least distracted by) the Atlanta position.
Straight up 4-4-2 with our more defensive fullbacks. all DPs on the field. two strikers. fingers crossed. Need a win.
Dang, Greg going for the classic empty bucket lineup. Hopefully he's directed Cabral to stay out wide, because he is WAY more effective as a winger than a forward. Either way, Stoked to see Dejan on the pitch starting
At the 60 minute mark we can sub in Vazquez, Edwards and Araujo for Cabral, Costa and Gasper and, voila, we have the 3-5-2 that will win this game.
Yeah, injuries including Ruidiaz. Never get the feeling Seattle is s out of it as say KFC or us for that matter. They are battling back and are currently in playoffs. We of course, are not.
