I don't blame Dejan for the shot, but Chich WAS right there, with a better angle.

So even if we DON'T get the ball in, its not for lack of trying and good chances.
This is easily a game of the Dallas GK keeping them in this game.

Why play the long ball there with a minute left and it's Dallas ball.

There are no moral victories this time of season when we desperately need points but if there was any justice in the world we'd get at least a draw tonight. Pretty good performance. Terrible finishing. Dejan looked human for first time. Chich so wasteful of his chances.

Disappointing result. If we play with this much effort the rest of the way, we have a chance to maybe slide into the playoffs. My feeling is that we won't and we'll finish outside again. For some reason I'm still onboard with Vanney though.

At least we played well even with the loss.

Same could be said of Bond keeping LA in it. Bond made better saves IMO, LA’s shots on goal in the second half weren’t great.

There was a stat floating around earlier in the week that we're one of the highest teams in XG for and have the biggest underperformance of real G vs. XG in the league. Meaning that the stats say we should be better then we actually are.

Tonight is more of the same. we have an XG of 1.4 and score 0. I'm surprised it's not a higher XG with the 5-6 chances floating around my head.

VV made the perfect weighted pass that earned the penalty.

I only had one serious objection to Vanney tonight: He should not have taken off Raveloson. Cabral should have come off for VV. All that wing play from Cabral didn't mean much when Dallas bunkered in the second half. We needed a scorer in the box.

Might have to do with the entertainment.

We were a little unlucky to not score. But when a team with almost no true goal scorers keeps the best one on the bench for 60 minutes, whose fault is that?

Bummer, and Chich definitely looks snakebit!

I'm off to my first true vacation in 2.5 years. Praying our family doesn't get COVID on the flight over.

I'll be cursing the Galaxy while on a beach! Hopefully.

P.S. Worst game I've seen Dejan play, but we'll forgive him.

Missed most of this one and tuned in around the 60th. We were very much still in it being only down a goal. The saved PK is really unfortunate; a tie would've been a very good result under the circumstances and it sounds like, from reading the thread, we had our chances.

Have a great vacay at the beach!

PS- I just finished covid and I barely knew I had it. A tiny bit stuffed up for 3 days but felt fine the whole time. And I’m no spring chicken like you. I’m not a doc and everybody is different but I think if you and family are vaxxed you don’t have to worry about getting too sick with the current variant.

Agree - Raveloson was playing decent is much more dangerous going forward than Kevin.

You can make an argument that if Joveljic had not just barely come in to the match he would been more focused and loose on the PK and slammed it in.

Greg's stubborn ways have cost us points ever since his adopted son hit the pitch. Imagine how many more games won and added points we would have if you could go back and give all those shanked misses from Cabral to Dejan?

and If we barely flop over the finish line into the playoffs everybody will want to give our average coach yet another year of the same. SEE, HE IS IMPROVING US!!! YAY!!!!

I missed the game. I went to the Rose Bowl for the Real Madrid/Juventus game. It was fun!

I kept checking the score but knew we went down 1-0 away that we weren’t coming back. After I got home, I scrolled Twitter to get an idea of the game and it was DIRE. It wasn’t until I read everyone’s in game/post game comments here that I realized it wasn’t another beat down and we created enough to tie but just didn’t.

I’m all for holding the organization accountable, but some social media sites are getting really really negative.

Twitter is very over the top. I worry for the mental health of some of those people.

Seriously! I’m all for the #KleinOut stuff, but scrolling through everyone’s tweets made me think we had been blown out 5-0.
