Odd that nobody had started this yet. Colorado is out in DC tomorrow against what used to be the quality team of MLS. TV: ESPN2 Suspended: Jones, Gashi Injured: Berner, St. Ledger
1-0 win, goal by K.Doyle. I'm going out on a bit of a limb here but DC has not been great this year and they're hurting. With the lousy weather predicted this won't be pretty soccer but I think the Rapids can take advantage and get out of town with 3, though I wouldn't be shocked by a draw. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2016/03/battle-of-eagles.html
1-1 tie. Both teams work hard but ultimately can't get more than one each. Goal by Powers or K. Doyle.
Out of curiosity. Can the rapids appeal Gashis suspension and he play today? Just saw a Twitter video of Tim Howard greeting some of the players pre game and Gashi was there and looked to be dressing in warm up gear.
They could have appealed but each team only gets tow appeals per season and they couldn't claim he didn't commit the infraction. Best they could appeal would be for a lesser punishment. Seems like a flimsy case to use one of your two appeals on.
Yeah, not happy about that, especially since Miller is apparently healthy enough to join the U-23s after this game. But on the plus side, Pappa is starting!
Yes! I was worried he was going to sub on again, then start two games against the Nats. Too bad Gashi is suspended. I want to see these guys figuring out how to work together.
Rapids attacking early, corner and a decent cross from Pappa(?) that Doyle took a stab at (no pun attended).
