Hopefully this will be our first win of the 2020 season. Vancouver didn't look too good in their opener, and we are at home. I'm calling for a 3-1 win. Really want to see Chicharito get a goal.
Apparently the team is selling grass berm tickets for.....wait for it....... ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS each. That's sort of outrageous if you ask me. But I guess that's a sign this is a high demand game.
Vancouver!!!! oui-oui baby. It will be our first win and Javier's first goal also. 2-1 as we let the Caps in the door late in the second half.

Well, if they're selling tickets for $100, the berm will be empty. Lots of seats available for $40 or less. Is someone trying to drum up excitement for this game or what?
Yeah it is intresting. Here is the link for tickets: https://tix.axs.com/VGOPOgAAAACpPpl...2.1953983080.1583454525-2086255108.1573156058 I mostly see resales (and they are going for $40 up) and on the grass there are $100 tickets from the team (and curiously a resale option for $38). Maybe someone got grass tickets for free/cheap and are undercutting the galaxy? Weird. Anyway, should be a good crowd.
Anybody else notice that the only people not predicting the Galaxy as finishing in the top 2 of the west are actual Galaxy fans? Hoping for a win but I'm still in "wait and see" mode for how this team is going to do this season.
Yes, we have passed the "fool me twice" analogy and are at the "fool me 4 times, shame on me" stage...
One thing I noticed is that the WC looks pretty weak this season. After LAFC and SEA I don't see much strength in our conference. We probably have the 2nd or 3rd most raw talent. Reality may end up different of course.
Huh? It's the home opener. How can it be a trap game? We (and the team) shouldn't have any illusions about this being a game we should particularly be expected to win.
How can you and Hav77 possibly know the relative strengths of teams before the 2nd game has been played?
For all the criticisms of MLS & its host of rules and all club affiliations aside, I value the fact that we have a league where this can still be said about virtually any team, every season.
Accidentally posted this in another thread, haha... Any lineup guesses? I'm hoping to see Steres in place of Pipo, partnered with DePuy. I also hope to see Jona, Lletget and Corona back together in the midfield, but I also won't be upset to see Kitchen as the dedicated DM in order to free up Jonathan a bit more offensively. Up top I'm sure we'll see the same three, although I really hope Katai worked on his fitness and sharpness all week because he was pretty bad last game after hitting the post on that header... Go Galaxy!
I have no knowledge of internal thinking but my guess is that Pipo is ahead of Steres in coaches mind. Btw 538 doesn't think much of VAN. They have us as 78% to win (?!), 13% to draw and only 9% to lose.
