There's no good rationale. Aigner has been quality pretty much every time he's played. The fact he can't even make the 18 in Hudson's mind over McBean and others is extremely troubling. The coach has to learn to work with all types of players and get over his petty feud. I'd rather have Miller over Colvey. I think Minnesota agreed.
Hudson's infatuation with McBean really drives me nuts. As for the Aigner situation, who knows what it's really all about? Was there a spat between he and Hudson? As for Colvey, etc., I think Hudson's hands are a bit tied in the selection due to injury. It will be interesting to see how Nicholson integrates tonight.
I would like for Colvey, Wynne, and McBean to show why Hudson puts them in the lineup. I haven't seen good reasons yet this season.
Well at least we have the onside kick down pat. Now down 1, and The Invisible McBean up top. Awesome.
That...was not good. Of course it only reflects the quality of the lineup the coach put together. SMH.
I hurried home from a dinner at Adrift for this. I'm kind of wishing I had stayed for another Singapore Sling.
I give up on Hudson. McBean should be in Charlotte, at best. Meanwhile, we have two TAM attackers that Hudson CHOOSES to sit. Instead, we get Hudson's love affair with McBean. Pathetic. Then we have his two pet Kiwi project players (who hail from USL reserve squads). Yea, we have injuries, but Wynne has started every match... Every match. I won't even comment on Colvey. Hudson is turning out to be far worse than Pablo when it comes to bizarre love affairs (Pablo-Watts). Giving up on this coach. He entertained interest from Sunderland. As far as I'm concerned, he get take that job.
That's what Padraig meant about being transparent as part of the Rapids Way. It's uninspired lineups and predictable style of play, which casts aside creativity in the center for long, low percentage passes.
Re: McBean. I should point out that he may be an insult to Charlotte. He's slower than our slowest, and he has fallen over 4 times in the first 15 min. at the slightest bump on both offense and on defense... losing possession each time. Again, he shouldn't even be in the 18, let alone start... while Boli sits and Hudson's ego is too stubborn to sort out the Aigner situation. Screw this.
So after the Union's loss this week a stat went around saying that if you put together a list of the Union's last 10 road wins, Chivas USA is on the list. In that same time period the Rapids have 9 total road wins. (apparently, I haven't double-checked the stat yet)
Dafuq is up with this USL lineup? I should have the good sense to just go shopping with my wife and then read about the 3-0 loss later. At my leisure.
I don't think Colvey is even USL material. Bad passes, laziness, no anticipation, ball watching, and a stupid foul prior to the goal. Making Wynne look good only by comparison.
BTW, Boli was signed over 7 weeks ago. Has yet to start a game. Zlatan was signed 6 weeks ago. He's started 3 games.
