OK, I'm no Tsaldana3, but the game is in 3 days, and since we're not in first place and not riding a win streak, I'll give it a shot. Don't kill me if it doesn't work out!

Damn, I messed up the Subject Line! See, this is what happens when you give the keys to a rookie. Can a mod help me out here?
    Thanks.

I was going to do it tonight, but hey it's fine with me as long as we use the same format. Though it's all on you if we lose.

    hehe.

at first I thought it was a bad omen, but now I think this was Shelbo's way of exorcising last weeks bad game demons by having a do over:)

Great to see the subject line has been corrected. Which means the result this week WILL correct the last week's result as well and make it to 4-1, or close to that, to us! Amen!!!

    Huzzah! Fixed subject line!

Philly has toughed out two 1-0 victories and the G's are going to be looking for blood after an epically-disappointing match last weekend. Can't wait!

Glad they talked about their problems already. Wish I know what they're talking about. That said, I hope the backline will regroup and find their grove again. No more 4 goals allowed. No more than 1 goal if you really can't keep a clean sheet. Great teams lost badly sometimes once in a while. Man United lost and allowed 4 goals more than once this past 2 seasons, but they're still at the top. I believe it's the same with LAG. Come on guys!

Do we really think Barrett will start after the last few displays? I guess it still might be better to bring Lopez off the bench as an option (and remember we never see training which is where Barrett might excel?)

I know Bruce likes to bring new guys in slowly, but I'm really hoping Lopez gets the start. We need a kick and I think he'd provide it. He can't be any worse than Magee and Barrett...although, truthfully, neither one of those guys has gotten a real opportunity to develop a relationship (what word am I looking for here?) with Juan Pablo so I can see Bruce still starting one of them with JPA.

Not to mention, if he starts Lopez and it's a disaster, then bringing in Magee or Barrett off the bench doesn't invoke any excitement. Lopez off the bench would do that, I think.

but I'd still like to see Lopez get the start.

Aren't Barrett and Magee out with gunshot wounds to the kneecaps? Or was that just a fantasy I was having? :D

I think we need to have Charlie Sheen come talk to the team about WINNING before this game. Maybe Leonardo would be a more bad-ass defender if he had a little bit of Warlock Vatican Assassin in him.

I have had enough of Barrett, ship him off with Maggee, they are both absolutely the worst forwards ever. Bruce REALLY sucks at signing forwards.

I still say have Angel as a loan striker and lets not waste a forward and put in another f*cking mid. I'm still 100% for a 4-2-3-1, leaves Donovan and Becks up front higher with Juninho slotted behind Angel.

we NEED gonzo and ricketts back asap!

not projected but what SHOULD start, doubt Bruce is smart enough to scrap a 2nd FWD as all we have are COMPLETE CRAP

You appear to have accidentally put Jovan Kirovski in the starting line-up. I'd put Juninho in that position, Beckham central and try out Lopez or Cardozo on the right.

All three of our attacking midfield players appear to be able to drift and mix it up.

Bruce without doubt, is a solid talent-spotter and appears to create a good roster composition that promotes team-spirit and a cohesive atmosphere.

Some of his matchday selections however, completely baffle me.

Just like Smithy did for England, eh? Well, I think that might work. :D

As for the game, I like all of the lineups you guys're suggesting here, but I want to see Becks in the middle/Centre! It'll give us more possession, not to mention Juninho providing too behind him or interchange with him, LD and Birchall at each sides (or perhaps Stephen on the left and LD on the side), I'm sure our team will be a huge force to be reckon with.

Personally I think Chad Barrett and Bryan Jordan are one and the same person. Both were born in SoCal and both played in the PAC-10. Both are very fast, have few, if any, skills on the ball, pass poorly, can't head the ball, and need a boatload of chances for each goal they score (this is assuming Bryan Jordan has actually ever scored in league play; I think I remember one but I'm not sure).

I guess I must be missing something, but since we already had one, did we really need another Bryan Jordan?

So I was watching the Philly-Vancouver highlights and I'm curious how is it that Ruiz's (good for him to score) goal isn't offside?
From the highlight, he is way offside.

That being said, this game came at the right time, LA will get back on track.

The pass to Ruiz actually, ever so slightly, went backwards to him. In other words, Ruiz was behind the ball when it was passed over to him so not offside.

We need a win badly. I really want one...

And I'm a big fan of inserting Lopez, cause why the hell not? It might actually put an 11th man on the field.
