Damn brother! Where have you been? I blame the fact that you haven't been starting the game day threads for our crap record in the last 2 months. In my opinion you are more important to this team than even Juninho! Well I hope you're back for good because I can't stand watching the way we've been playing in your absence. So everyone calm the **** down Tsaldana got this!

I'm happy that tsaldana3 is back. Welcome back! To those who stepped up in his absence, thank you. Someone else said it the PIP Chicago thread and I'll agree that this game is a statement game. Both LA and Columbus are tied for overall points in the Shield race and whoever wins might be the eventual MLS Cup winner. LA has to win this game this to establish their lead in the standings and establish confidence.
Columbus is doing OK in the CCL, they're in the USOC final, and they've worked their way back to Supporters Shield contention. If they can handle all these things, then LA can handle all these things. I don't ever want to hear about fixture congestion, not enough players, too much travel, or any other BS babytalk reasons about LA losing games again. I don't want to read about "now that we've been eliminated from every other competition we can finally focus on what's important" mumbo jumbo. It's pathetic. Either that or Columbus has sold their souls to Satan because their run over the past 3 seasons or so has been absurd.
Realistically draw will be a good result for us vs. Screw, in our current shape we can easily lose that game, so if we get 1:1 draw it's a positive result, win will be a miracle.
THIS (and not just the bold parts)!!! Wow..the best post I've ever read so far this season! Thank you very much for your words! I mean it!
INJURY REPORT OUT – David Beckham (Left Achilles tendon surgery – Disabled List) DOUBTFUL – None QUESTIONABLE – Gregg Berhalter (neck) PROBABLE – None BECKHAM AND JUNINHO SET FOR RETURN: The Galaxy will welcome two of their top midfielders back into the fold this week with the anticipated returns of David Beckham and Juninho. Beckham is expected to be removed from the club’s Disabled List later this week and could make his debut against the Crew on Saturday, while Juninho has missed the last two games while attending to personal matters in his native Brazil. Both players trained with the club on Tuesday and are expected to be available to train all week in the lead up to the game against Columbus. TV Info Watch: FS West, (delayed until 9:30pm PT) Listen: AM 1150, KWKU 1220 AM (Spanish)
Now that's funny. Injury report from our side: OUT: MF Robbie Rogers (L knee surgery) DOUBTFUL: DF Gino Padula (L ankle sprain) PROBABLE: MF Emmanuel Ekpo (R adductor strain) Hejduk is also banged up, so he may be iffy as well. On what our lineup would be I have no idea. Warzycha almost always plays 2 DM's (2 of Carroll, Moffat, O'Rourke), but I, like many other Crew fans, would love to see a more attacking player (like Gaven) in the middle. But we can only move him inside if we have healthy wingers, and with Rogers out and Ekpo coming off injury..who knows? Also, we have compensated by playing Renteria wide (and he doesn't look like any wide midfielder I ever saw, but has been effective sometimes), and have a new signing in Peruvian international forward Andres Mendoza who needs to see time ax well. What I want: ----------Hesmer---------- Hejduk--Marshall--Iro--O'Rourke ----------Carroll----------- Renteria----Gaven----Ekpo ---Schelotto---Mendoza------ What I think we'll see: ---------Hesmer-------- Hejduk--Marshall--Iro--Francis -------Carroll--Moffat--- Renteria--------------Gaven -----Schelotto--Lenhart---- Maybe Ekpo instead of Renteria, depending on fitness. Let's both hope for some help from SJ and Seattle this week-end. At least we can agree on that.
Pumped yes but as the Special one says "no pimping Sven" I guess that includes The Boy Rooney too now.... Be Champions my friends...
Let's not get carried away. We don't want to put too much pressure on tsaldana with all this expectation. In truth, Beckham is an unknown quantity at this point. A torn hamstring and long layoff could really effect him at this stage of his career. Hopefully he can get back to his best. Juninho can hopefully inject some creativity too. If we pull off a win here, it could give us a much needed boost for the run-in.
He ruptured his achilles tendon. He didn't tear his hamstring too, did he? I actually think the silver lining to the forced layoff for Beckham was that the rest of his body had a chance to rest after a non-stop playing schedule the last few years. When he can get back to form is a big question, but he may be in better physical shape than he would have been if he had played all spring and summer.
FWIW, I'm more optimistic because of the returns of Birhalter and Juninho than Beckham. But we need everyone healthy and contributing if we're going to make a run for the double.
