I was only being cautious. The passing has to be better if we are to get our first win streak of the season. Defensively, more of the same should come.

    WE'RE #1

Sorry for the double post, this is in response to a request made last September regarding who will be available on the bench during games; it has taken a while to get a response to you but here is the response from the FO:

I have followed up on this and have been told that there will be a list of substitutes on the DV but for the home opener on Sunday it will be shown rather early on – like possibly an hour before kickoff, due to the amount of other stuff that’s being packed into the script. For future games, it may be closer to kickoff.
I think that ideally the list of substitutes would be posted after the starters are announced, but it sounds like that’s not going to happen. Not ideal but an improvement nonetheless, I think.

Also, word has it that we will have a new, much higher def. big screen at the HDC this year so we will now be able to read this list!

I am so looking forward to the season home opener on Sunday! Go Galaxy!

It seems like a simple thing to do, any idea if that would be possible?

looking forward to this game. We just drove down to LA to visit in-laws and super excited that we are able to get tickets to watch the Galaxy play.

Being in Portland haven't had a chance to see them live except for a trip to Seattle.

Though I quite agree with the predicted line-up here, I still want to see Becks in the middle/centre. I think it'll be more effective for Galaxy with Becks in the middle, not to mention for his play. It has been proven so many times before, especially in 2009 and in some odd occasion where Bruce decided to put him in the middle, as well as with AC Milan. This way he won't need to run much or outrun his opponent much throughout the field and will spread the ball more for attack. I hope Bruce will think the same way too this time.

My seat has been calling me since last season. it'll be a great feeling walking back into HDC, beer (possibly nachos....or kettle corn) in hand, and cheering this new squad on. I think this'll be a good opportunity to see some of the new talent. I expect JPA and at least Gonzo to be in the starting 11.

Hope everyone comes out to support the team on Sunday. Heard that rain is in the forecast. As long no STH events are scheduled that day (easy, Rodney), I don't think there will be any issues :)

    I love opening day.

I actually do agree on putting becks centrally. He is slow and we don't hbe buddle anymore for his long balls. Put juninho on the left with LD on the right. Juninho is quick and can cross so why not? You want to have you best players centrally. O and becks shoot the damn ball on net!

Expecting a much better performance from the G's. Certainly better passing and control of the match (I hope). The NE central midfielders are very good. The game will be won on which team can control the center of the pitch. Look for Birchall and Juni to have better games with alot of attacking from our outside fullbacks. 2-1 for the good guys.

I think when you compare midfields there is no reason we should not win this. Our mids even under pressure have the skills to play fast and one touch and provide the passes for a hopefully fully healthy angel.

Quick thought, Would Stephens work as D mid? I think his touch is better then birchall but Birchalls defensive doggedness maybe better.

its good to be a G's fan

Okay, I'm new here, and this question's been bugging me since sometime last week. It's a stupid question, but I can't figure it out, so I'll ask it.

    P/I/P?

It's not picture-in-picture, I assume. Preview in progress? I dunno. I give up.
