My favorite regular season game of the year (luckily there will be two of these this year!) a trip to my local team FC Dallas. I'll leave all the fancy graphics and information for one of the regulars, but wanted to get this started because 1) I'm excited to get to see the team live for the first time since MLS Cup and 2) want to get my mind off the CCL. Is anyone else making it out to the game?
I really wonder how we'll do. I hope we'll play strong against Dallas, who while looking good in the standings is supposedly not playing that great. I guess. Realistically the trip to Monterrey has got to have sapped some energy, so perhaps it would be a good time to mine the bench a bit. Jimenez, Garcia, Villarreal, McBean. Our captain looks like he could use a start on the bench. Maybe he's still recovering from the injury he suffered on NT duty.
Bah, I can't make it this time and IT'S KILLING ME. But I did not know they were coming to Dallas twice this year!!!
Just asked Adam Serrano (LAGalaxyInsider) and he said that he expects Zardes to return to full training within the month.
I bought tickets today. I will be there with my five year old and a few others folks. Looking like the 1st time in a few years that we are going to have really great weather for an LA match.
I would like to see: ---------Villareal----McBean Clark----Juninho---Garcia---Rugg/Jimenez Gaul----AJDLG-----Gonzilla-----Franklin --------------Cudicini Give the older players with heavier legs a rest, maybe sub them in late and bring Juninho out to try to steal the points if the game is up in the air... Keane/Donovan/Sarvas coming in for McBean/Villareal/Juninho...
Apparently I liked my lineup so much, I posted it twice.... So I'll just say in this post that I really hope we win and give our Dallas-area fans a memorable game to see in person!
If any of the others from Dallas still want/need tickets here's a link to a deal - https://oss.ticketmaster.com/html/g...ner=521559&group=1294&err=&event=&customerID=
So if we beat Dallas with our reserves what does that say about the quality of our team. I think we are about 750K from greatness.
Ummm... guys/gals.... beating Dallas on the road is going to take a good game from us even if they aren't Monterrey. We still will need to field the best team we can and those we put on the field will have to play well for us to win. Just sayin....
The issue isn't a lack of respect for Dallas, but a question of which guys have the legs to play Wednesday-Saturday and which guys are in form. On the suggested lineups some people have put out there, the cancellation of the reserve game recently hurt the ability of young guys like Gaul, Cochrane, Rugg, Chandler Hoffman etc to break into the lineup because they haven't played in awhile. I expect Dunivant will still play because he came out first last night. Plus, Gaul didn't even make the 18, so I'm not sure he is either healthy or back to fitness/form. Magee may also be available since he played less. Clark seems likely despite his weak form because he wasn't eligible for the CCL games.

Yeah, don't expect to see some folks due to the long minutes in Mexico. Love that we have a bounceback game so quickly. With how high FCD is in the standings would love an emphatic win. Think we will have a hangover instead. If we're taking this one, might be a butt clencher at the end.
I think we're do for a big game from Robbie. I think we'll see the same lineup as the CCL match, with the inclusion of Magee if his leg is feeling better.
If I didnt have a soccer match in Austin this weekend, I would have without a doubt gone to this match. I'll be at the Houston match though!
