Bitter pill to swallow but that's football we where in worse shape last season and what happened? It's not how we start but how we end. There's a couple games a year when I feel like a day at the beach would have been a better way to kill time. This is one. Terrible ref, shit opponent, and we play down to their level. Ugh. I want my 90 mins back... And landon donovan.
Part of the problem is one goal shouldn't have beaten us, we were lacking a cutting edge all match and paid for it. The nonchalant finishing, is annoying. It's like you can see players thinking "Oh well, I'll score next time".
I wouldn't call it confidence. Just the opposite. Their hack show in the first half, and time wasting in the 2nd were telling. They couldn't hang and they knew it pre game. We just weren't sharp.
