With the proposed downtown stadium and the still occasional rumblings about the pro game returning to Tulsa, does anyone have any clue at all who would spearhead or even be in the ownship group that could bring pro-soccer back into Tulsa? Ill be moving back to town within the next year and a half and would definatly like to do some investigating. but was without a doubt curious if anyone at this time had any ideas. 2009 would be a great year for the return of a team. 25 year anniv. of the folding of the NASL. Although admittidly the Roughnecks still toured and operated for a bit longer.
Winnercomm was one of the sponsors for Tulsa's exhibition game that drew 14k a few years back. This company would be integral to the success of a team, could be a part of an ownership group, but probably would need some rich oilmen to seal the deal... http://www.centredaily.com/mld/centredaily/business/technology/12143576.htm http://www.winnercomm.com/
If T-town gets a team; I just may have to move back there. But I hope Tulsa and St Louis both get a team soon!!!!!
