--Got to give it to Juventus; they may be matchfixers and crooked, but they're dedicated and stubborn in the face of FIFA punishment.

--Ol' Gap Tooth isn't headed to Milan. But regardless, the Galaticos want to get rid of some lesser stars before next Thursday's transfer deadline.

--So Malcolm Glazer was a trailblazer for other Americans to buy clubs in England and not have riots ensue. Yes, sarcasm.

--Can anyone stop Barça this season in La Liga? Phil Ball understandably isn't betting on the field.

--Seems like an awful lot for a team killer like Anelka. Here's hoping Big Sam knows what he's doing.

--And almost two weeks since it was first reported, Toronto FC is set to confirm Mo Johnston is its first manager.

--Now Juan Pablo Garcia is content at Chivas USA; watch "El Loco" change in a second if he gets what he feels is a good European offer.

Heck, i would not bet against them in the CL either....'

BTW, i always found Mr. Balll a good writer, especially when he talks about English soccer:

"Beckham, unlike the rest of his England colleagues, can actually control and pass a ball with reasonable accuracy and understands a tactical approach to the game which post-dates the Jurassic Period - and so should find that the supporters of Real Madrid - a demanding and knowledgeable lot it has to be said - will continue to appreciate his excellent passing skills, indefatigable work-rate and will to win. "

    Gotta love it! :p :)

I agree. Its shameful how innocent Juventus is being turned into the scapegoat for all those other evil and guilty clubs out there.

Juventus has no history of matchfixing.. nor does italian soccer in general.

This is just a witchhunt because FiFa is angry that Italy didn't let France win the world cup.

Can you point to one game that was fixed? Oh wait, neither could the tribunal. Match fixing was a term started by the english language press. It's an entirely inappropriate term for what was going on.

Well if you looked at FIFA during the final and their behaviour afterwards you'd have to wonder who they were pulling for.

Juventus has made their statement about how the other clubs should be punished just as harshly as they have. They are now going too far. They act like they are above Italian soccer, probably because they believe they are. They are an embarassment.

What if Juventus gets kicked out of Italian soccer? Could this be the fast-track to a non-FIFA-sanctioned superleague? I really really really do not trust clubs like Juventus. They are part of the cartel of big clubs who are ruining the sport. I am suspicious that they are purposely trying to weaken domestic soccer with this ploy.

And Juventus isn't the only culprit. Milan is just as culpible. Anyone following this incident knows that Milan has manipulated the FIGC for their own benefit. They'd steamroll the FIGC just as Juve is trying to do if they could benefit from it.

I smell a G14 conspiracy. The more the big teams disrespect domestic soccer, the closer we get to plastic fans seeing domestic soccer as irrelevant. This is a G14 wet dream. Are Juve and Milan really rivals in this incident, or are they working together to destroy Italian soccer?
