Here's MLS overall record (include Toronto FC). Feel free to do one for another league and post the result. Use 3 points for win, 1 for draw when tally % of total possible points. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CONCACAF_Champions_League_2008-09 Prelim: 0 win - 1 draw - 3 loss DC United 0 1 5 Houston 2 3 1 Quarter: 1 draw, 1 loss 08-09 tournament: 2 wins, 6 draws, 10 loss http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CONCACAF_Champions_League_2009-10 Prelim: 1 win, 3 draws, 2 loss Houston 2 1 3 DC United 3 1 2 Columbus 2 2 2 09-10 tournament: 8 wins, 7 draws, 9 loss OVERALL: 10 wins, 13 draws, 19 loss 43 points out of a possible 126 points = 0.341 or 34.1%
Here's Mexico excluding games between two Mexican clubs: 2008-2009: Qualifying Round: 3 wins, 0 draws, 0 losses, and 1 match that probably would have been a win but was cancelled due to Hurricane Gustav Group Stage: 12 wins, 7 draws, 5 losses Quarterfinals/Semifinals/Final: 3 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses Total: 18 wins, 8 draws, and 7 losses 62 out of 99 possible points is 62.6% 2009-2010: Qualifying Round: 3 wins, 1 draw, and 0 losses Group Stage: 18 wins, 3 draws, 3 losses Total: 21 wins, 4 draws, and 3 losses 67 out of 84 possible points is 79.8% Combined: 39 wins, 12 draws, and 10 losses 129 out of 183 possible points is 70.5%
Better idea: Don't include Toronto FC. They don't qualify by being one of the best teams in MLS, so they're not a good measure of the quality of MLS. Instead, give a total for the US and a total for Canada, since that's how the teams qualify. Also, I posted the figures for all of the other non-Caribbean teams in CONCACAF in the other thread you started on the same subject. IIRC, Costa Rica came in last and Panama was the winner. Mostly because this is a silly way of determining quality, given the small sample size and varying circumstances.
from chapka CONCACAF CL Mexico: 67% (W44 D13 L15) Panama: 50% (W11 D6 L9) Honduras: 49% (W12 D1 L12) Guatemala: 38% (W5 D3 L8) MLS: 34% (W10 D13 L19) El Salvador: 29% (W3 D5 L8) Costa Rica: 28% (W3 D6 L9)

he should include Toronto with MLS its in the thread title (Overall records for each league in the CCL) after all Santos Laguna or Atlante don´t qualify for being the best teams in the FMF either
When Santos Laguna and Atlante qualified for the 2008-09 CCL, they qualified by winning the Clausura and Apertura for the previous year, respectively. In other words, the best team in the FMF for that league. When Toronto qualified, they qualified by being the only Division I team in Canada. Yes, they had to beat a couple of minor league teams to get there--but the fact that they had trouble with that isn't a point in their favor. Regardless, there are no "leagues" in the CCL; there are countries. Actually, there aren't even countries; there are member associations (for example, Puerto Rico doesn't qualify out of the United States despite being part of the United States). So it makes sense to rank the associations' performances, not the leagues.
