The Red Bulls have sold over 40,000 tickets for the 2008 Red Bulls-Los Angeles Galaxy game set for Saturday, July 19 at Giants Stadium at 6:30 PM ET. Link:http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3676230 It seems that this game might be the highest attended MLS game of 2008.
I'm assuming this refers to the New England vs Dalls game in June. Clikc on the little video icon to see the highlights, then tell me honestly if that looks remotely like 54,000 people!
Looking at the highlights of the Revs won't do you any good. Everyone knows many of those 54k arrived after the Revs game ended. They were there to see Brazil. But if you see highlights of the Brazil game you will see 54K seems legit.
I meant to say an MLS game with no doubl-header included, currently San Jose has been th biggest draw against the Galaxy but it seems that NY game will surpass 40K.
I was at the game, and the only reason the highlights would show less people is because the best part of the game was the first 30 minutes.
I heard the 40,000 mark almost 3 weeks ago. Either this is very late or within the last 3 weeks ticket purchases have been vey small; meaning tickets sold only jumped about a thousand or maybe two. So the Article writer just noticed it has reached over 40,000, but it has been like that for a while.
