I always thought Ibrahimovic on loan or 6 month contract is very realistic.

 

Ibra on 6 months would sound good if it was the Ibra of three years ago and if his ego would collide with our entite locker room.

He's 37 now. He knows his long career is near the end. He knows he can't play every game. I think he will fit well. Then talking about hazard or mbappe on january is pure speculation. Both Ibra and Morata are realistic targets IMHO

People also underestimate the benefit of him being just 19 years old.

The usual problem with buying players that young is either the worry that they'll stall in their growth, or the worry concerning whether their future self will be physically able to play at an elite level.

Those two worries don't exist for Mpappé, because he has already risen to a world class level, and his physique is already where it needs to be. He can only get better.

On top of that, people talk about his price, but, he's 19. If we can get him to the club, make him our guy, give him a home, he could be ours for more than a decade to come. Let's say we splash 180 million on Mpappé now. That sounds like a lot, but imagine if we never have to spend that money on another forward for the next 10 years. And even if he doesn't stay for that long, we'll still recoup our money, because we'll be selling, say, a 25 year old Mpappé. That guy will go for hundreds of millions still.

At 37, he is still better than any goal scorer on our bench! Let's be real.... he is onlt fighting for a spot against Bale who would probably miss half the season, Benzema who never scores.... and Asensio who never scores.... Mayoral who never scores. Mariano is not much better than Ibra.... it is always better to have an extra striker when our team fails to score in 3 games..... against Alves.

Of course, I dream to have James, Mbappe and Hazard to join us in January. It is not realistic. Even, Icardi or that Warner dude in Germany will cost us over 100 million. What do we have to lose for a 6 month loan deal? If he sucks, we are just paying his MLS salary. Pribably we sell enough t-shirts to justify it.

It is a realistic gamble.

 

Icardi scored 2 goals again. Would love to see him play here, the striker we need imo. Just a shame his agent causes a lot of problems.

And we also need someone who can give the final pass. Right now, only Isco can it seems. Someone who can give the final pass like James, Ozil or De Bruyne.
