Heart was debating between win by 1 or win by 2+... then I came across this post and realized that you're pretty much right. Still say win by 1 though.
Of some slight interest maybe is the game is going to be at the National Stadium in Managua instead of the team’s home stadium.
yeah curious about that. National stadium is much bigger so wondering if they are expecting a big crowd. On other side, can take some intimidation out of it playing at their home.
Looks like a pretty cool stadium. Wish we all could’ve traveled to see it. Tickets were only $2.87......
Real Esteli's stadium vs their national Stadium. I'd take their home stadium just for aesthetics alone.
The national stadium was only ever partially built. It's basically a giant concrete slab on a hill side. Each section is separated by a high chain link fence. Parking is on a dirt patch at top of stands. Can't imagine that turf is high quality.
That's a tarp covering the middle 3rd of the stands. That top sections is worth about $2.97/ ticket. The fencing always cracks me up. never understood why the uncivilized maniacal fanbases need to be caged?
It's a bit warmer in Managua than it is in Columbus. Forecast tomorrow: High of 93, fairly humid. In the low 80s with a chance of rain around kickoff. Hoping Porter has plans to use those five subs.
After watching the refereeing tonight, the Crew better be ready for elbows and late tackles. This will be a chippy match. We can’t run from it. It will only get worse if we make it to Mexico. Best way to beat the referee is to put the game to bed early. 3-0 before halftime would do it. I told my wife the screaming at the TV begins in T minus 24 hours. Lol
Since I've had both those COVID shots... any suggestions on where to watch the game out amongst humanity? Endeavor? I'm guessing I won't actually go out. But in the near term, that's the plan. Might as well start getting myself back in the mood for such things.
I'll always advocate for Land Grant's outdoor patio with the big screen though the weather may be iffy
I blocked off all things related to work, home duties, etc, and will be glued to my TV for the game. The team is back!
