I agree, utterly unforgivable. But what if it'd been Dunne that had commited the offense - would we all be screaming for him to be sacked from the club? Is it only unforgiveable if an assault like that is carried out by someone we can afford to loose? What about when Barton stubbed a cigar out in Jamie Tandy's eye? Although we all condemned him I don't remember anyone saying he should be released cos we still needed him. Seems to me Thatcher has committed 2 crimes - 1. The awful 'challenge', and 2. Being rubbish.
