You say that like it is a bad thing Actually I think there is another way....but having rich soccer supporters like Kerfoot/Melnyk/Saputo absorbed by MLS would kill the idea.....so, with no malice intended, I hope that the 2 expansion teams come from St. Louis/Portland/Miami.
I would be all for a Canadian league. I just feel that the only way it'll happen is if we have a good number of MLS and USL franchises and than split away when they are stable and well established. I think around 8 teams would be a good time to split away, 4 MLS and 4 USL clubs.
