Yeah many foreign players are basket cases though.

It’s not like any of them have degrees or even high school diplomas.

I was mostly thinking about his skill set and what he would bring to a team and the league as he was a great player.

As he is only 30, he could still potentially play another six seasons before reaching Messi’s age.

In the English Championship Saturday, 8 of the 11 games were won by the away team, and there was one draw. If you include Friday's match it was 9 of 12 won by the visitors. Interesting.

I would be more concerned with his mindset, not his skill set.

Now we know why Martino signed Redondo’s son…

What a pair! "The Tata" Martino & Fernando Redondo.

Caught a few minutes of Fútbol Picante from Mexico on ESPN while switching channels and they happened to be talking about chivas & should Cowell get another start. 6 panelists 3 including el Tuca Ferretti ex tigres coach, some fat guy with a beard & ponytail (that I'm sure never kicked a ball in his life) and other person said that cade Cowell is not a fútbol player. Ferretti pretty much said he wouldn't play him if he had him on his team...they're being pretty brutal with Cowell. One panelist said he liked Cowell and that he's only 20 yrs old. to give him some time.

Cade didn't play in Chivas's last game (against Mazatlan) and he wasn't on the bench I don't think. But he played most of the game against Forge FC a few days earlier (no goal or assist this time but didn't play badly). He's definitely the worst player on Chivas in terms of technical ability but if some of that can rub off on him he could be a useful player for them.

Scuttlebutt I'm hearing (through well-placed sources) is that Cade's Chivas teammates love him, call him the Cowboy, and that they appreciate his unselfishness in often feeding the open guy instead of taking the shot.

In one final intersection between real life and art, the Jets played a playoff game in March 1976 against the Buffalo Norsemen. During warmups 20 minutes before the game, Johnstown’s Vern Campigotto skated past Buffalo’s Greg Neeld, who had lost his left eye years earlier and had more recently antagonized the Jets.

“Hey, you one-eyed bastard,” Campigotto said, then challenged Neeld to a fight. Dave “Killer” Hanson jumped in. So did Steve Carlson despite a cast on his hand.

Since there were no officials on the ice and the incident happened before the puck dropped, the Jets were not penalized for inciting a brawl. Actually, they were rewarded for it. The Buffalo team refused to come out of the locker room and forfeited both the game and the playoff series. In one final twist, the NAHL fined Buffalo, not Johnstown, $1,000.

The only thing that did not actually happen that night: No one yelled they were trying to listen to the song!

Perversely, I had to hold my nose and root for Miami, since RSL is in the Western Conference. Same will be true Sunday in LA when El Pinkos square off against the Galaxy. :)

Wasn't sure where to put this...https://twitter.com/FlemingSport
Anyways, he worked for MLS as a game broadcaster and is going off a bit about MLS and it's extremely corporate style.
Thought some of you might find it interesting. Nothing extremely surprising but interesting from someone who worked for the machine.
