ROFL....hahahahahaha! That sounds like something the GERMAN fans would come up with as far as conspiracies. Geesh. Clearly those fans are in tune to how much JK loves Löw. They even said JK holds a grudge against LD for being the reason Bayern fired him!! I tried to find the appropriate face palm for that but it did not exist. Try the JK Should Be Fired Now thread...many tinhats.
Hey LoewnBoy, I read that Benjamin Lauth is signing for Brisbane in the Australian A- League. Pretty good for our domestic league. I was actually in Germany for a few months at the height of Benni fever when he scored the bicycle kick that became goal of the year. He was so promising, but it never quite worked out, or maybe he was just over rated like many young Germans. Also, if I recall correctly German football was in a pretty dire situation at that time anyway.
Benny was overhyped when he went to HSV. He was a decent striker but read his press clippings too. After his ego settled down he became quite a good 2.BL striker. He was loyal to 1860 for getting him back and paying him well. He'll keep playing a few years and then come back to the club. Agostino I think talked him in to going to Oz versus MLS. You have a few ex BL guys down under, so it's a good fit. Besides, MLS already had Donovan so they don't need Lauth.
^^^^^^^ cheers bro. haven't checked out anything to do with MLS in years....with that being said, Go TIMBERS! hahaha
most notably Thomas Broich and Besart Berisha. Berisha is a psychopath, I don't like him. Broich IMO has been the league's best ever signing. If only the league would sign these younger unheralded players as opposed to ageing marquee players (Del Piero, Mario Jardel, Robbie Fowler, Emile Heskey)
Well, that's the tough bit, isn't it? The young players want to play in Europe and the old players want a last pay day. Oz kicks out some good young talent, as does the US...though most of ours come from Germany. You should send some Oz soldiers to Germany and have them shack up with local hotties. In 17 years you'll have your new crop of players. That's what we do.
Good move by Bayern. Beckenbauer to lead Bayern's U.S. plans Franz Beckenbauer has been named the Bayern Munich's "international brand ambassador" as the German champions seek to make their mark in the United States. In April, Bayern became the first German club to open an office in the U.S. when setting up in New York, but that is just the first step. "Our objective is to increase awareness of the Bayern Munich brand name around the world," Rummenigge said. "Furthermore, we naturally wish to gain a financial benefit from this step." Bayern will play Deportivo Guadalajara in New Jersey on August 1 before heading west to play the MLS All-Stars in Portland on August 7. In the second game, Bayern have announced that they will field a full-strength team, including the "current internationals." http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/...ncrease-brand-awareness-united-states?cc=5901
Except for those players that want to take a 3-4 month sabbatical because they are burned out. Opps, sorry, wrong country.
I know quite a few folks who have abandoned Bayern. I still maintain that you are a closeted Dortmund fan.
I did indeed. And have not regretted my decision for one second. Others can turn a blind eye to their dirty, scumbag tactics, but I could not. They turn my stomach.
We've found the worst flop ever, courtesy of an amateur German soccer coach We're not totally sure what the lead-up was to this brief shoving match between German amateur soccer clubs Haibach and Kahl, but whatever it was compelled one member to unleash what has to be the worst attempt at a flop in the history of sports. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/pos...lop-ever-courtesy-amateur-german-soccer-coach
My team was a Bavarian police club team. No one ever messed with us as they were worried we'd arrest them.
