Oh, please. There are no TOS violations in here and I doubt anyone has hit the little "report post" icon. You know that those of us who can't stand Chelsea and/or John Terry are going to be giddy about the result and discussing it here, in the appropriate thread for this board. If it's too awful to handle, don't come in here.

Now, if I had started the "Jaime Moreno is better than John Terry because he can consistently hit PKs when it counts" thread that I was considering, then yes, you'd have a reason to gripe.

I'm just warning folks as a jokey PSA - easy on there, Th.

You may want to adjust your humor sensor. ;)

You know the rules man - you can only start it IF you refer to Jaime becoming our next coach NOW. :D

We now have fewer points than any team in MLS.

Another DC United milestone reached :(

Hmmm... has that ever happened to us before this late into the season?

On the topic of the Champions League final... One, John Terry's a really nice guy when you meet him in person. (Of course, Claudio Reyna may be too, but I hate him anway.) Two, does anyone else think that Avram Grant is an absolute imbecile for having Nicholas Anelka on his roster? Putting him in the game was probably the worst substitution I've ever seen. And to have that whiny, petulant, mildly talented, heartless skunk take a penalty? Are you kidding?

On a slightly different topic, watching the Quakes vs. #Ex-Quakes last night, it was painful to see how slow (by comparison) our strikers are. Francis Doe now.

Dunno about the fewest points, but on the morning of June 19, 2004 we had won three games in that MLS season. We won the fourth that night beating Columbus 3-1.

Neither Anelka or Terry would have taken a penalty if Dro' didn't get a red card. I lay full blame at his feet.

So who saw Boswell almost screw up as bad as McTavish last night?

This is very true. I got the chance to meet him during the training session prior to the MLS All-Star Game that was played against Chelsea.

He's a very nice guy, very down to earth.

He's totally Mr. Chelsea. From around the way. No "big star" pretentions about him. He is an example of hard work paying off. I don't think a scout at an elite tournament would have had a second look at him when he was a teenager. He's done well, as have the Blues. Considering where the club was twenty years ago, I'll take it.

I don't believe I cared for that barely-concealed "whew" at the end of your sentence.

Well, personally, I don't really care that Chelsea lost. I just find it irritating that in such a high quality game, the manager brought on a complete waste of a player in Anelka.

    You're assuming Grant is a high-quality manager.

lol, I was hoping like hell that would result in a goal. What the hell was he waiting for, the ball should have been up the sideline 5 steps before the pressure got there.

well - He's not a manager anymore - Fired on Saturday I guess not winning the Carling League Cup was the real blow to Chelski's hopes for EPL domination
