Man Hearing the fans screaming Vamos VAMOS MUCHACHOS??? I think it was It??? But anyway they did our chant which alot of Barra Bravas do, Vamos United, or watever you can change it to, but the whole stadium rang because of the last free kick in the 2nd minute of over time!! The whole stadium was shaking and even the tv guy in the stands was shaking as a result!! I hope one day when we get our real stadium our fans will something like this off by that time, have a SCARY barra for any visiting team!
The other United went to Nou Camp with last year's hiding at San Siro foremost in their mind. It wasn't pretty (heck it was sort of ugly) but it was effective. And I agree with the commentator that if you have 67% of possession like Barca did and don't score a single goal, there is something seriously wrong with your team.
I watched parts of it, i was studying for this exam and all i have to say is they should have started henry. I dont care for barca but that is what i saw that could have won them the game.
In fairness, Dallas isn't very good.* *Except for Alvarez and Toja, who both had a poor night. And Cooper, who will only be available until someone bothers to test his urine for bovine growth hormone.
ManU is the team I follow in the Prem, so I can't lose either way. And, yes, you can blame my support on the 1999 CL Final. Between that game and the FC Barcelona-Brazil centenary match, I got my first real taste of Europe via the old-school ESPN2 afternoon games and some quality teams to follow for the rest of my life.
For anyone still clinging to the thought that Erpen was some sort of great defender, take a look at the second goal Chicago scored against Colorado. With no support behind him, Erpen jumped into a tackle with both feet. He was neatly sidestepped and left sprawling on the ground. His attacker, not having to worry about dealing with a defender, made an unchallenged run to goal and dished off a nice pass for a simple goal. That play captured Erpen's game perfectly; he's athletic and brave, but has lousy judgement, and worse, provides no evidence of improvement. He was a nice guy, but all I could think of was 'Damn, I am SO glad he doesn't play for us any longer!'
Somebody had to do it. Tough to read too. Ultimately, a bit tough to watch. Donovan should make anyone afraid on current form.
True for me as well. Man U will be okay with a fully rested Ronaldo. Worried about Hargreaves though....
He also did it earlier in the game and let Frankowski in on goal, but Condoul bailed him out. I'm not glad he's gone that's for sure. On a side note, even with United's big win last night, United could still end up in 7th place in the East if Red Bull takes care of San Jose this afternoon, which they should. That's a bit depressing.
It's so early in the season, I don't even look at the standings. They're just worthless. It's not like Garber is going to declare the season over tomorrow and these are your playoff teams. All we have to do is take care of business; that means get results, not worry about other teams.
Alas, recent results kinda show that the taunting causes him to score. But the trend could always reverse.
Did I forget a winky smiley? But yes, hopefully the trend will reverse, because I don't think the taunting will lessen at RFK...
