Looking at the pointyball lines, the field is 120 yards long (100 yds. + the two 10 yd. end zones). That would make the shot 54 yds.

And yeah, it's nice to see Hartman look silly again.

The LA Galaxy is officially in last place.

If that doesn't bring a smile to your face then you're not a real DC United fan.

I use to have teammates on an indoor team that would drink the crap before we played, especially when we were scheduled for 11:00 or midnight. Some would make a comment about their heartbeats getting faster. Just made me shake my head.

Superliga Final, LA lets up an own goal, 1-0 Pachuca. Should have guessed the first would be an own goal, courtesy of the Galaxy. Beckham is also hurt, most likely done for the night.

Vagenas own goal a couple of minutes ago, and now Beckham has to leave on an injury.

The sad thing for LA is, they actually weren't doing that bad right up until the own goal. They were getting outplayed, but not crazily, and were getting some dangerous possession. But now suddenly it looks like ass for them. And RSL put them in last place tonight too.

as much as i like to hate on donovan, he has pace to burn. watching him run down that field burning defenders like he does makes me feel kind of bad for him. here he is being pushed out of the way for mr. injury. no doubt beckham will contribute for that team when he's healthy, but donovan has consistantly been their shining star and if he's sent off to san jose I think the galaxy are going to become even more of a joke.

I wish I could speak Spanish better than I can. I'd like to know how badly Beckham is hurt. It looks like a relatively mildly sprained knee, but his expression is so completely forlorn that I hope it's not more serious.

I suspect the forlorn-ness of it could just as well be an "oh shit...for God's sake I just wanna play the game!" sort of response too.

It's got to be as frustrating as all get out to have to continually sit out games when the media continually dresses you up to be "the biggest impact player in the league." Being surrounded by such an inept organization can't help his morale.

They're speculating it's an MCL sprain in his right knee. That's a good guess and is an injury that often happens when 2 players challenge for the ball like that. (If you missed it the play was completely clean from both players they just both hit the ball at the same time and the Pachuca player Salazar also was subbed out). Was an MCL the knee injury Beckham picked up last year at the World Cup? I remember similar looks of him dejected w ice on his knee in Germany.

The good news for Beckham is that if he's out with a knee injury it might give his ankle time to heal!

Klein ties it in the 93rd. Hard to say it but it was a great goal.

I tuned in late in the first half, but I'm glad I did! What a fun game to watch. You have to wonder how it got so crazy with no team even trying to control the tempo, but whatever, I'll take it. Also, I don't recall a single game with such an impressive amount of great saves by both goalies.

This match has been insane. It's amazing how it swung from Pachuca getting chance after chance in the first to LA getting chance after chance in the second.

And the replay clearly shows that he wasn't offside either, though I initially thought he may have been.
