I'm in that boat. But my threat was from the wife and kids. It would have been impossible to get up to the parade and then back down to DC for Halloween festivities.....and I missed last year's Halloween due to work.
nope, but a lot of them are being lenient, mine jsut isn't one of them. stupid people getting hurt. they prob wont' really need you until after the parade anyways, you could just hop a ride with an ambulance. kinda like carpooling. i'm here because it's the end of the month and we have to be here to book orders that prob arent' coming in because it's a friday and halloween so nobody is really out there signing anything anyways.
Couldn't help myself: http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2008/10/stammler-out--1.html "Stammler out for season after knee surgery" My reply: "Now he can go to the parade in Philly."
I'm uploading mine from 17th and Market. Was in the 5th row, Ben was front row, and Bolton and Nicho were right behind him. Thanks again guys for saving him a spot while I worked.
I was right near you guys! We were at 19th and Market, about 10 people back from the front. 'twas pretty amazing, to be honest. People started chanting "Who are you?" and "Move that bus!" when the media came ahead of the players.
I was at the head of Broad Street right at City Hall. When the first two media trucks came, the boos and middle digits were proffered.
i am sadden because my school misericordia univ is just to far away. i could not make the parade i have dreamed about since i could remember. to all that went i thank you for showing what the Delaware valley is made of. every pic and video i see of the parade or celebration after we won brings me a little bit back to home in sj.
here are but a handful of my pics from south broad (between lombard and south). http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8ScN3LVm5YbU
