The Phils are going to ripped so bad in Games 1-3 they're going to trot out some obscure Mercy Rule for Game 4.
You revel in your own ignorance with a dancing child rapist. You really need to read threads long enough to get a clue. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KezvwARhBIc"]YouTube - UHF - Wheel Of Fish[/ame]
So back to the thread....we are gonna get Tea bagged in 4 by the Yankess! Arod, Jeter, Texiera are all readdy to drop their balls in our collective mouths repeatedly
Like we need any reminder There's only one thing I hate worse than losing and that's losing to New York.
If there is a bright side, at least it's not the Mets. Babe Ruth is going to come down from the heavens and a** rape Howard right on first base.
The Phils were up 10-4 last night, and my wife didn't understand why I expected to lose. She is from the midwest, where I suppose people win things.
Thanks for proving my point -- both of those things are better than being a Philadelphia fan. Speaking of droughts, though...
I thought you guys finally got rain so you could stop stealing water from Tennessee Or do you mean our impending championship drought? Lest anyone forgets, the last time we played the Yankees in the World Series was 59 years ago, I expect the song to remain the same
Oh for Pete's sake, as if a bunch of weenies being all negative on a soccer message board is going to suddenly change the results of a MLB game in a reverse-psychological way. Whatevah. I still say suck it you negative nellies! Philadelphians are weird.
You underestimate the power of the force....you should know about it right??? Being that there are people frozen in carbonite in you basement and all!
Bingo. That should've been obvious! We got more than enough rain in Atlanta. So much that they have to drain the reservoir now.
Wow. I cannot believe the level of torment and shame the Phillies are headed for in the Bronx. I'm really torn up about this World Series. The Yankees, as a native Long Islander, are the team that I have followed my entire life. I remember being in a casino in Las Vegas and being pissed off about A-Fraud's arrival. In 1980, however, my Yankees weren't in the fall classic. Being an impressionable almost 8 year old, I rooted for the team closest to where I lived, and that was the Phillies. I have always had a place in my heart for the Phightins, and my sheer hatred of the NY Mess made that all the more real. When I moved, my Yankees were in the middle of winning 4 titles in 5 years, the first absolutely moving me to tears. Now that those Yankees are going to treat the 2009 Phillies season like Terri Schaivo, I'm somewhat saddened. I also don't feel the way I used to about the Bombers. In the late 90's, people accused them of purchasing a ballclub, which pissed me off royally, considering how much home grown talent they had. Now, I feel that the 2009 Yankees World Series triumph should come with a reciept for services rendered, and I absolutely HATE that abomination they have the audacity to call Yankee Stadium. When my Yankees trash the Phils, I don't think I will be happy at all. I guess my blood doesn't have the same navy pinstripes it once did.
