From what I watched I don't think he has a chance. He makes silly mistakes.

Someone should tell JR Reed that just because you call "fair catch" doesn't mean you have to catch the ball.

Why doesn't the fat ass just bite the bullet and resign Reno Mahe? At least he could field the ********ing ball.

I'd prefer them to bring Bloom back, but that would mean the Front Office would have to admit they were wrong, and we all know that someplace would have to freeze over for that to happen. Of course resigning Reno would be alright, too.

After the initial pissed offedness faded away I felt like there was more to that botched punt. I don't ever remember J.R. Reed fielding punts before. We have a new special teams coach. And we protect our best return man, Westbrook. But we have to look at the positives, the defense played well, The offense moved the ball, and Sav Rocca can punt. There's alot to work on and 15 games left. This is our season we can win it.

They can still very realistically be 6-1 when they face the Cowboys in the 8th game.

I love him, but he isn't the quickest. It would be scary to see him try to consume a pro playbook...

Give him a few games, seriously. He did look a bit lost out there at times.

He's BEEN like that. Two years ago at the Blue White game....

First play after half time, calls time out. Walks over to the coaching staff and points to the cheat sheet on his wrist and does the what-the-fcuk-does-this-mean shrug of his shoulders.

See that deep pass get picked against ND? Exactly.

I just don't want him to turn it over. Period.

Here are my 3 additional options:

    1) Bring back Brian Mitchell just to stand there and fair catch.

    2) Put a laundry basket back there and hope the ball lands inside.

    3) Just let every single punt bounce and hope for the best.

Wait a minute, let's just throw Sav back there!! At least we know he won't get Todd Pinkston Syndrome when a gunner is bearing down.

Well, at least there were some positives. The D played well, the ground game was fairly affective, and McNabb's knee didn't seem to be an issue.

    Indeed, Saturday was awesome.

Our defense is going to be something special...

It’s not hard to stop an offense that refuses to make a play down field. Charlie Wies is a moron, he has the number one recruit in college football and refuses to use him effectively, it was a pathetic display from a supposed offensive genius.

Or, just like Michigan, Notre Dame 07 is a fraud.

Notre Dame as a whole isn't a problem the coach is.

If he tried to go down field with Clausen more, his QB would not have finished the game. He would have been stretchered off. We ran minimal blitzing but still sacked him a handful of times.

Weis started with the swing passes and that moved the ball a bit, but once we adjusted, ND was done. No one throws on corners.

The team is inexperienced, you can't blame Weis for that. Or can you?

In other news, the Phils will be going down (like Bolton's mom at a boy scout troop meeting) the rest of the week. Anytime your comebacks rely on ol' backwards K Burrell, you're effed.

Burrell should be in AA right now. He's a stiff.
