From a guy who came from super low key beginnings as a nobody to then coaching women's football, Herdman has become a revelation for Canada
I don't think its all him. He has an ear piece in. It's the entire staff, but i think Jason De Vos is the guy we should be praising.
Yes and no, Henry should never have started to begin with...... he is no where the level of skill of the others that start. Other than that, yes I have a great deal of respect for this coach for what he is doing now and when he coached the women's side. Tactfully smart coach.
Looks like another Brazilian soon to be eligible for Italy. Joao Pedro Galvao who used to play for Estoril is applying for citizenship https://www.abola.pt/nnh/2021-11-18...onha-em-representar-a-selecao-italiana/914101
Dude haven’t you spoke to Italy fans at least ones in Toronto? They will tell you their grandma is Italian so it’s fine. It’s only a Problem when Portugal does it.
Because when other countries naturalize Brazilians, it's considered integration and virtuous. Even places like Ukraine and Russia have been doing it. But if Portugal does so then it's like re-colonization and that can't happen
Future Italia squad: ------------------*Alex Pato------------------- Emerson--Eder (different one)---Joao Pedro --------------Jorginho---Lucas Piazon------------ Alex Telles--Rafael Toloi--Chiellini---Bruno Peres? --------------------Neto------------------------- *note, when Pato goes back to marry Berlusconi's daughter and gets special considerations to join the Azzuri
Supposedly, former Benfica striker Jonas has Italiano citizenship too. Not sure where's the connection, as his full name is Jonas Goncalves Oliveira but hey Portugal = still evil

36 years later, Canada has returned to the World Cup. The greatest Canadian player in history is a living legend of the Biggest club of the Islands. “Alex mr Marítimo. Congratulations Canada
Canada will send Croatia packing to the retirement home. Belgium won't know what hit them either. Both of those teams will force Canada to play to its strengths, they will devastate them both on the counter.
The main thing for Canada is to have every top player healthy at the time of the WC. Davies, David, Larin, Buchanan, Eustaquio, the eternal Hutchinson etc in good form. I actually wouldn't mind if Ike Ugbo gets used more as an alternate or backup striker but seems like Cavallini is still getting the nod due to seniority despite being terrible on the final match vs Panama. This Liam Millar from Basel actually seems decent in the Swiss league but barely gets game time for Canada. There's also the youngster Ismael Kone from CF Montreal who looks like a quality prospect, who may be ripe for transitioning to Europe in another year or so. Supposedly there's also a few players out there with dual Canadian and European or Latin American citizenship that may be eligible if they want to represent Canada
