Here are the details we have as of now:CM Punk told at least one person close to him he had an hour long conversation with Triple H last week.WWE staff, reps, creative had no idea. He walked through the back in plain site minutes before he appeared. They had cleared an area…— Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com (@SeanRossSapp) November 26, 2023
Meanwhile Sapp was reporting all through the last few weeks, along with Dave Meltzer and Brian Alvarez, that there was no contract and he wasn't appearing.
Literally only TWO people knew.... Punk and HHH https://www.youtube.com/live/ne7PJhk-AuM?si=6RRhBOZ5ocjLHmKa&t=13748
The Whatculture guys are also completely in the dark and have been wrong about everything all along. None of those wrestling "journalists" have a shred of credibility. They're little more than AEW/Tony Khan mouthpieces. Until HHH, Punk, or someone from Punk's camp says it publicly it's a complete unknown.
We'll see how long this run lasts for him in WWE. Maybe with Vince out of the picture, things will be better for him, but he had issues in the past with HHH too, so maybe both guys have hashed things out and have been on more friendly terms. It's been quite a saga for Punk for the past two and a half years. He seems to be the kind of guy who can rub people the wrong way...and quickly, as well as someone you can annoy pretty easily too.
He'll probably work a program with Rollins, being the guy in the match that wears Rollins down enough that Priest cashes in. Maybe one or two other short feuds, another Wrestlemania match, and little more. It would be really interesting to see him with Heyman again or even going to work behind the scenes with NXT where he can help the newbies.
Heidenheim and Bochum just spent 90 minutes actively avoiding scoring goals. Each moves 1 point further above the relegation line.
30 minutes in and Hoffenheim and Mainz have combined for 5 yellow cards, including 4 of the 5 center backs being used today.
Hoffenheim and Mainz tie 1-1. Hoffenheim is 6th on the table, with 20 points, but only 4 of those points are at home.
St. Pauli vs Hamburg in a city derby between the 1st and 2nd place teams in the 2. Bundesliga is about 11 minutes in and they're playing in a light snowfall.
2-0 in the 27th minute. The single greatest own goal off of WPIOOTBGW that I think I've ever seen. I'll find video as soon as possible.
The snowfall is no longer light. The field is turning white now. And there's the pause to switch to an orange ball!
Speaking of former Union players... https://t.co/0MWCtPZCUq— Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) December 1, 2023
Only 3 early Bundesliga matches this morning. Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin was postponed until tomorrow due to heavy snow in Bavaria.
