In what is maybe the most ridiculous color choices ever, I'm watching an FA Cup game where Arsenal is wearing white shirts, with white shorts, and white socks. This wouldn't be that bad except they are also using slightly off-white numbers. Absolutely can't see the numbers except on extreme close-up shots where the player is standing still. Other than that, forget it.
It's been a Bundesliga morning for me. Koln moved up to 6th with a 3-1 win at Hertha Berlin and currently Bochum is up 1-0 against visiting Wolfsburg which would move last year's 2.Bundesliga promotion winning team into 11th position at the top level.
And now we're on to Serie A where Roma-Juventus was 1-1 at the half. Roma scored twice to go up 3-1, and now Juventus has battled back to tie it up with more than 15 minutes to go. Make that 4-3 Juventus in the 77th minute. And now an 80th minute VAR review for a handball against Juventus in the box, and it's given with a yellow to De Ligt for the offense, his second which sends him off. Penalty saved in the 83rd minute and it's 4-3 with Juve trying to see out the win a man down.
It's the off season, and some of the discussion for other leagues has wound up in the USMNT thread because there isn't really a better place for it. Well, now there is. We can talk about England, Italy, Germany, African Cup of Nations, etc here.
Really wish I had beIn access for this one. Not enough to sign up for yet another streaming service to get it though...
I have BeIN and the coverage is crap. Lots of picture cutouts and disruptions, and they inject ads RIGHT AFTER a player is injured or if there's a short stoppage of play. And this was the Cameroon v Burkina Faso game.
I have Hulu Live TV with ESPN+ and Disney+ as a bundle for the same price as FuboTV's Pro package and the only channels I'm missing are Bein, Unimas, and TUDN.
Pepi puts one in the back of the net for Augsburg in minute 32 of his first start, but the ref calls a foul and doesn't let play go on, taking it off the board.
72' Nani subs on to make his Venezia debut 🔁73' Nani assist 🅰️It didn't take long for Nani to make an impact 🔥 pic.twitter.com/fyhF6OXn8Y— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) January 16, 2022 Also, Jack Harrison beat West Ham 3-2 today.
Bummer! I had ESPN+ until November when I ditched it due to constant buffering of its programs, no matter what I watched. Everything from sporting events to specialty programs would buffer then play...every 5 or 10 seconds. It was maddening. I never had that problem during the summer and early fall when I wanted to watch MLS games. I'll sign up for the service again next month, in hopes that it will be better when the 2022 season begins, and I will hopefully, get to see several college basketball conference tournament games prior to the NCAA Tournament.
Decided to watch Bundesliga bottom dweller Gruether Furth for the first time today. They looked terrible giving up an early goal to go down 1-0, but battled back to tie it up at 1-1 at the half. In the 66th minute they made a double substitution, and in the 67th minute one of the subs used his first touch to cross a ball into the area that took a couple more passes to get to the other sub who put it in for a 2-1 lead on his first touch. They're trying to see out the last 12 minutes now.
They did not. Bielefield with a golazo to tie it in the 83rd minute and it finished 2-2. Furth is dead last, with 7 points out of 19 games on the season, but they are 1-3-1 over their last 5.
Watched the Ivory Coast - Sierra Leone game. Quite an error by the CIV keeper at the end to allow SL to tie it up. And fun to see Kei Kamara still kicking it.
An absolute stunner at the San Siro. Milan went up 1-0 against Spezia in first half stoppage time, just a minute or so after missing a penalty. Kevin Agudelo comes on for Spezia in the 58th minute and scores in the 65th to tie it up. Milan looked like they tied it up in the 87th minute, but the ref called a foul and did not play the advantage leaving it tied. Ibra had a header just barely stopped in the 90th minute as it deflected off the goalie and crossbar. 96th minute, Spezia breaks away on a counter and Emmanuel Gyasi puts it away for the shocking 2-1 win at 2nd placed AC Milan. Spezia moves up to 14th and gives themselves a chance to put some distance between themselves and the true relegation battlers at the bottom. Now on to watching Rocco Commisso's somewhat successful toy as they host Genoa.
Watched the Cameroon - Cape Verde Africa Cup of Nations match. Really loving that I happen to have over-the-air BeIN. Will see what I can catch Wednesday morning.
Fun fact, TWO MLS players played in this game. Jamiro Montiero - Cape Verde Olivier M'Baizo - Cameroon
Poor Kei Kamara. That's a hell of a way to end your NT Career (which I assume he has with that game). https://www.skysports.com/football/...y-as-pablo-ganet-goal-enough-to-seal-progress
It sadly gets worse for Kei Police are currently protecting the home of Kei Kamara in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Fans are angry after he missed a penalty today in #TeamSierraLeone defeat to #TeamEquatorialGuinea . The angry fans moved out to attack his house. pic.twitter.com/Wu8prNSOwK— T.
