I'm supposed to meet up with some people in the Rittenhouse Square area, and I'm wondering the best way to get there? I was thinking of just taking the R5 to Suburban Station and then walking there, but I'm not too sure what the neighborhoods/walk is like. Anyone have any advice to impart on the subject? Thanks in advance.

that's probably the best way to do it. avoid driving if you can. Very quick, and safe walk from Suburban to Rittenhouse Square.

not a bad neighborhood at all ... any of the 3 center city regional rail stations are fine to walk to/from. between SS and rittenhouse is nothing but office buildings, stores, cafes/restaurants, apartment bldgs ... in other words, there will be plenty of law-abiding citizens on the sidewalks.
