Hi, I'm interested in coaching or rather, learning about coaching and would like to start out helping out a team. Preferably under 10 girls or so in the Conyers or Midtown Atlanta area... Oh and just so you don't think I'm a dirty old man: I'm 25 years old and a girl and will pass a background check. I used to play rec & H.S. soccer and am a big fan of WUSA and MLS. Please PM me if you need any further information from me. (I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post.)
Check with the GSSA website. They have classes for coaches, and info about coaching opportinities. One good way is to become an assitant coach with one of the big established teams.
my cousin coached w/ the nike program w/ the Ymca at grady high school a few years ago. i think it was called PLAY
Participate in the Lives of Americas Youth That was a good program. Are they still doing it now? You may want to just talk to coaches of your local teams and see if you can help out with them. I am sure you can find a handful of teams that would welcome your help and enthusiasm. And phats is onto something as well...check with your local Y. I know the one near my office has indoor youth soccer leagues and they are always looking for volunteer coaches.
And don't forget Soccer In The Streets... The pay for your initial coaching license too. Great cause.
